First Look: Marvel NOW! AVENGERS Covers Revealed

Thor looks silly. But the art is very nice and I can't wait!

Yay, I'm excited but seriously don't pull a New 52 on us Marvel.

Here's hoping that it lives up to expectations

Um....I don't see any diffrence besides the green hulk is back and you have falcon and only two x-men. The other characters arn't they....I thought.....OH forget it sheesh.

I just hope Iron Man, Wolverine, and Spider-man are still going to be as funny as they've ever been.

Superman already does look like Christopher Reeve (or vice-verse).

@venomoushatred1001: Damn it why couldn't they leave that series in its own niche? Couldn't they have left it well alone if they were going to make another Avengers cartoon? EMH melded comic book storylines and movie additions seamlessly. This cartoon is nothing more than pandering to the movie going audience. Grrr I am so done with Marvel animation.

Seeing as Captain America, Thor and Wolverine are going to feature in Uncanny Avengers I was hoping there would be less of a focus on them here.

one reason i like DC right now above Marvel: they never mixed the movie universe with the cmic book universe. having to see superman look like christopher reeve or batman look like george clooney would just be wrong

That said, too many Spider-People... Wolverine's going to stay, with the X-Men merger with the Avengers and whatnot, but I'd like to get that old school feel going again. And lets not forget that Falcon's here, which is awesome.

Apperently, the team has more then 18 members, this only shows 15. It starts out with 18 members and expands. The shadowed person is Eden Fesi from Secret Warriors--now code named Manifold. There are other eight "new" characters not shown on the covers. The NEW Avengers is a separate team with different members and only one character will be on both The Avengers and NEW Avengers.

This looks awesome. I can't wait to pick this up!

Cannonball & Sunspot? Should be interesting. I think Dani Moonstar would make more sense but I guess they don't want 2 archers running around.

i can totally understand Cannonball being on the team on a power level and the fact that he's been pushed as the future of the X-men for as long as he has been in comics, but im not sure i agree with Sunspot, nothing against him, hes a great character and i have mad love for the New Mutants but i just dont get why

Shocked that Wolverine and Spider-Man are Avengers. What's next Superman and Batman in the Justice League?

I am keeping a positive attitude. Everyone brought up great points on this thread already but for me, I am more curious as to the choice of antagonists. I want to see some oldies but goodies make a comeback. As for characters being used/not used etc -- so far my favourites are active so I am good to go people. :)

Awesome covers. I like how all of covers linked to each other to create a big picture. Very cool. I also like FF's covers as well (each issue's cover linked altogether, too).

50 bucks says Cannonball, Falcon, and Spider-Woman hardly ever see the light of day in this series. With 18 characters, some people aren't just riding in the back seat, they gotta ride in the luggage space in the way back.

I hope Pym makes the team. And gets his own spotlight cover :)

THEY HAVE CANNONBALL?! that's awesome, this book looks pretty good. i can't be too sure who the fire guy is (there a re a lot who end up looking like that) are that one in the way back on the cover with cap but that's a crazy cool team with only two that i don't get (hulk and falcon).

Hickman in twitter says there will be eight more heroes!! I hope so,because i didn't saw the Vision!!

I doubt its Cannonball, I think it is Alpha

I really like this line-up, and love the cover. Definitely going to be picking this up next month.

I really like the majority of the team. The addition of Hulk was kind of expected to cope with the movie roster, and when you have popular characters like Wolverine and Spider-Man already on the team, it'd be difficult to shake them off. Cannonball is a welcome addition, and I'm pretty neutral on Sunfire. I hate that we're calling Ms. Marvel Captain Marvel, but whatcha gonna do? It's not gonna last forever.

Obviously this won't be the final roster (I counted 14), so my bets for the last 4 members are Vision, Black Panther, Hank Pym (or Ant-Man), and Scarlet Witch.

Bottom line, I really like the line-up, and I'm totally on board with this "not a reboot" nonsense. With Hickman writing the books, I'll gladly pay for it. It's gonna be nice to be back, Marvel :)

I do not know why, but somehow i get the feeling Marvel NOW! is going to backfire and go down in flames and leave everyone with worthless pieces of paper. It is like they are just throwing things to walls hoping they stick instead of sitting down and actually planning things out. If everyone is going to be an Avenger, why not just give EVERYONE in the Marvel U ONE BOOK, and name the team book MARVEL UNIVERSE: THE BOOK! I hope it succeeds, but i am not on board.
