I love the art and the character designs are fantastic but I would much rather get a glimpse at other Society members instead of always seeing Bats, Supes and Wonder Woman. Hopefully the regular cover gives us some of that!

Those are awesome looking outfits! Can't wait for this series to begin!

So if this JS are the youngsters of the main timeline all grown up...if we're getting a "standard JL" team, then...Bart Allen is Flash and Aqualad becomes Aquaman?

I know nothing's confirmed, but I kinda like the concept, if it turns out to be true...less serious comic-book readers might not notice any difference though?

edit: wait, why are they fighting parademons/Darkseid's minions? Isn't this already going on in JL?

I realised Supes' oufit looks exactly like the one we saw in Justice League #1 design sketches. Maybe not exactly, but pretty similar. Im excited.

Wait, they're giving Earth 2 their own versions of the big three? I was under the impression that the book was going to be focused on the JSA. I must've missed something.

Ok, everyone, seriously. Stop gushing over how awesome this looks and think about it for a second. This is supposed to be Earth TWO. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Earth 2 supposed to be the more old school and idealistic universe? I'm not saying it should be all flowers and rainbows, but this appears to imply Earth 2 is in fact darker and grittier than the main DCU, when as far as I recall it's supposed to be the exact opposite.

@walkingcarpet: The trinity was part of the JSA in the golden age.

Hmmmm, well im going to pick it up anyway, but if earth-2 just focuses on the DC trinity from a parallel earth, then im not exactly going to be pleazed. Give me a cat, whos possibly wild. a magic lanters, preferably green. and a garrick, prefferably with the first name Jay.

Well this is only a variant cover. It could be the simple case that earth-2 is simply like pre-septerber earth, with batman, superman and wonderwoman being the second wave of heroes after the JSA. hopefully (either that or its a man named grayson under that cowl)

I hope Wally West is this Earth's Flash... And I like this Superman's costume

That superman looks like hes from DCs one million.

Looks good, keep reminding myself that this is a variant cover so this could be something completely different . Going to pick it up no matter what though .

@Herx: Jay, Ted and Alan will be the core team. This variant cover is just focusing on the trinity to show us the different look.

Maybe these 3 are the new JSA? Nobody needs to know the old guys right? right? Seriously, I was expecting to see the JSA, but maybe they will be on the normal cover like some are suggesting. The coolest thing about this cover is: batman + sticks. Please let it be Grayson, I miss him as Batman.

@Adnan: I really hope so, but then if this variant cover has nothing to do with the core of Earth 2 at all, why the hell does it exist? I understand variant covers sometimes not having to do with the issue they're on, but they should at least represent the series well enough.

I mean, making variant covers with absolutely 0% relation to even the series is Marvel's thing.

I may already officially like this Superman better than the one currently haunting the Superman book.

Dick Grayson, Donna Troy and Conner Kent. It has to be. I'm excited for this. More excited than I was before. I'm glad we get to see Dick back as Batman.

I literally just became so happy over this. This is one of the most amazing cover variant's I've ever seen. It says so much about Earth-2 and yet so little. Is that the original Trinity or the New age trinity? Is the JSA a modernized version of Infinity Inc. or is this similar Golden age JSA? SO MANY QUESTIONS AND SO MUCH TIME UNTIL THEY'RE ANSWERED. I love the costume's btw, they're really crazy awesome.

EDIT: Not sure why they're fighting the parademons though...that kind of upsets me if they're basically retelling the current JLA story.....UNLESS Darkseid uses the boomtube to boom his parademons into a new dimension since he lost again his universe's JLA.

I think that I am even more excited about the Second Wave than I was about the September reboot. And that is saying a lot.

I'm the opposite of excited - this looks like the current plot of Justice League - demons from the sky - Batman, Supes, and WW fighitng them....where have I seen that for teh past six months....

If that's Conner Donna and Dick, I'm going to be ridiculously happy

@The Mighty Monarch:More than anything else, I just think that Robinson won't disappoint. I'm thinking this might be, as weird as it'll sound, an homage the stuff currently going on in JL. I can't imagine why they'd be fighting Darkseid's parademons on Earth-2...unless...well, I don't think DC would try anything that crazy so early on in a title.

@sethysquare: 20 characters on the team, and only 2 of them are women. Yep, that seems about right for DC...

can't wait for it E2 WW look ultra tough with her armor and batman looks like he hasn't got any problems using weapons. The para demons look super buff too.

@Adnan: Oh god I hope so. But I do agree, Robinson rarely diappoints; even his so-so run on Justice League was the best that particular incarnation of the series saw, and it was fairly obvious it wasn't totally his fault either.
