Ehhh..I didn't realize Doop was popular enough to warrant his own series.

I'm stoked Milligan is writing this book, but my only concern, which is a more of a fanboy complaint is that I don't like how Lefuente draws Doop's eyes.

Still going to pick it up because Doop is awesome.

How does Doop get a series before Songbird?

Def getting this. Art looks great!

Any word on if you're going to have translate everything he says? If so I'm not going to bother with trying it out.

This gets a shot but X-23 can't hold numbers? I'm confused.

Even though I've read the Wolverine & The X-Men series, I never understood why people LOVE Doop. I think he's a really unique character, so I hope when I pick up this first issue, I'll understand why he's such a cool character

Wow, an Adi Granov variant of Doop. That's really cool, looks great.

I really enjoy the art but I don't know if I'll be picking this up. Seems really fun but I don't know if I have the budget for it; even if it is just a mini.

Fingers-crossed there's narration in Doop Speak, and it takes me 3 hours to read an issue, with all of the translation.

What-the Doop?!?

Wow what a waste of space. Im waiting for a new Spider-Man 2099 series and someone decides to make gives this character that no one ever heard of a series. Great thinking marvel a Squirrel Girl series would be more interesting then this cancellation just waiting to happen.

This is a mini and X-Statix and related has sold well so it's pretty doubtful it'll be cancelled.

Heh. They colored Emma Frost's boobs bright yellow.

Doop is the coolest.

I'm afraid I can't get this. I am not that far in my 90s reading to have crossed X-Force/X-Statix yet. Maybe later.

Nope. Just finished FF. Now doing Silver Surfer. But his covers are great and that's why he is asked to do so many of them.

@teerack: Because even though I don't read X-Men, I've still seen the shows, watched reviews for the different series on the CBC, and read up on a lot of the characters, and this one (which I feel like should really stick out) has never come across in any of that.

I don't even know who Doop is...of all the X characters to get a mini...

I'm getting this for the Allred cover only. It looks doope!

Doop shows up a lot in the back grounds of a lot of X-Men books and has had the focus on him handful of times in the past 2 years. It's at the point where if there is ever a big gathering of X-Men Doop will be there. He also had an issue of A+X and was on the cover of Wolverine and the X-Men 17 which was all about him. I still think that if you don't read a comic franchise then you need to assume you are unaware of a lot of things, especially for X-Men which is the most overly complex and convoluted comic franchise ever.

I just picked up the X-Statix omnibus last week on a whim. I love Allred's art and had never read X-Statix before. I just got through the silent issue (X-Force #123 - Tick Tock) and holy crap, Doop is freaky and weird. I really didn't understand why people liked Doop until I read that issue. So weird and mysterious, so I'm pretty stoked about this. Only disappointed that Allred isn't doing interiors on this :(

I LOVE the art. Doop having his own book in the first place; well, I'm not too enthused about that.

I like how high he looks in the first picture but not a fan of Doop so i'll skip.

While I am excited for a Doop mini-series, this part of the solicit worries me: "But his time has finally come! Where did Doop come from? What is he? All your questions will be answered!"

One of the best parts about Doop is that he's never really explained, and I would prefer if they kept it that way.

Also I hope he doesn't speak in English. It's more fun to translate or to figure out what he's saying based on what the other characters around him are saying.

why did it go back to the battle of the atom?
