@lykida: could be, I only read the first issue, but if its good, whatever

Is this still an unfinished process? Looks a little... unpolished.

Why do they make Russian villains look like that? He reminds me of the character in "The Boys", but bald...

Hand as "Молот"? Ok. xD

I'm a massive DC/Vertigo and Indie guy( used to be Marvel too but many things put me off it years ago) . I recently picked up volume one of Hawkeye and loved it because it felt so self contained and I wanted to know is this book also self contained ? Furthermore, does anyone know when the Black Widow trade is coming out ? Lastly, is this book more of a thriller/ espionage book than an Avengers book ?

That was my bad. I uploaded the images incorrectly. Everything's fixed now. Sorry!

So far the book has been very self-contained. It's been one-and-done issues so far, but I expect that to probably change shortly. I don't see this book getting into crossovers.

I'd expect the trade to be out around April, collecting the first 5 or so issues. Marvel has been shortening the turnaround on trades to a month or two after the final issue of a trade comes out.

Definitely more thriller/espionage. Doesn't feel Avenger-y at all. Could be an image book if the character didn't look like Widow. It's dealing with assassinations, bodyguarding, a little bit of politics. No other Avengers have appeared yet, and unless I'm mistaken, the only character we've seen before is Widow. All new cast it appears.

Check out the first couple issues, it's been really good!

Also, if this appeals to you, I'd definitely recommend checking out Ed Brubaker (and later, Jason LaTour's) Winter Soldier comic from last year. That had some more Avengers featured but no crossovers. EXCELLENT book, and very much in the same vein as this. It didn't last long after Brubaker left, but I think that was because a popular writer left, not because of a dip in quality.

Thank you kindly sir. I will wait for that first trade. I did start reading that Winter Soldier run but never got past issue 3 as my L.C.S at the time stopped stocking it so I was unable to carry on with that run . Plus with Marvel bombarding us with events all the freaking time I was less than enthused. Will look for trades of that as the series has a definitive ending which always helps with the old saving of the pennies. Prefer Marvel comics to be all about that spy stuff without tying into every other series they have, as I have become less stubborn as of late.

Looks great. Also sounds like we're getting into a longer range plotline.

looks nice, but I wish the story would go somewhere.

This book is so nice that they gotta release it twice!

I've been loving this series so far. First time I've loved Noto's art since he was on X-23 (Didn't really care for his work in Thunderbolts). I hope this creative team stays together for a while for this book.
