First Look: AVX: VS #1 - An Avengers Vs. X-Men Tie-In

Well the art is a hell of a lot better than the main books... might just get this and then keep track of the story thru wikipedia...

So Namor's punch can make the Thing bleed... but an explosion doesn't? ok... I didn't even know he could bleed...

Unless you really want to subject yourself to the disgusting Seth McFarlane type tweets Fraction feels necessary to share with the world, then be my guest. I was on it last night and I felt to quote Cable on mind-reading Sugar Man: " Like I was swimming in a pool of maggots ".

I really, REALLY hope the Avengers win this. Just the thought of Cyclops holding all the swagger in the Marvel U makes me angry. I think it's like how WWE fans feel whenever John Cena is champion.

Saw this previewed at Wonder Con and these panels look amazing. I'd have to say Namor punching Thing above water definitely caught my eye!

With The Avengers movie coming out this Summer I can't see them not winning (if there is a clear/actual winner), as much as I want the X-Men to win.

So, here's a thing I have noticed. Look at that first poster/cover or whatever it is. Take a good look at the X-Men Lineup..

Juggernaut/Colossus - Former Villain

Magneto - "Former" Villain

White Queen "Former" Villain

Cyclops - I would argue he is slowly turning into a villain

The X-men aren't heroes in my opinion any more. I'm not suprised that the Avengers would come into conflict with them. They are jammed full or "former" Villains, and Cyclops has sort of turned into the new magneto as of late. Wolverine's X-men are pretty much what the X-men Used to be and Cyclops runs the Brotherhood now (albeit by another name). Frankly I can't read any of the X-titles besides Wolverine and the X-men these days. I get too angry about how Cyclops character has been developed. He is NOT a hero anymore. He is Magneto JR.

What you just pointed out is the the main reason why Scott begged Storm to stay on his Extinction Team, because the majority of them their are villians including himself (not really). He can't mess what he's planning up, he needs someone like Ororo on his team, a non-villian and someone who could stop them if need be.

@LordRequiem: I've been asking the same thing for the past three months, considering he has shown up in pretty much everything. I love how Marvel is like, "Yeah, we blew it killing off Thor in Fear Itself, so instead of bringing him back with some elaborate resurrection story... we'll just act like he never died in the first place. Our bad."
