an event that focuses 3 of my favorite marvel characters. im in.

plus all 3 of these titles are on my pull so ill get to read it regardless :)

Spiderman and Punisher facing off against trained ninjas? I think not! Daredevil I could see maybe. I'll stick to DC!

Why does Punisher have anime eyes?

@Tyrisis: Isn't that the point of a crossover? Putting characters into situations they don't normally encounter with other people from their shared universes?

Also, the Punisher was once resurrected as a Frankenstein-esque monster (I know, it WAS stupid), so this is actually probably FAR closer to his comfort zone than that ever was.

punisher certainly looks a little like solid snake in some of those pictures

I will most definitely pick this up in trade

Checchetto's art is fantastic. He draws a brilliant Frank and Spidey.

Nope. Its the coloring for sure. I don't like this type of "dull" coloring, Marvel's been using it far too much.

Is the cross-over only going to take place within Avenging Spiderman or also in DD and Punisher?

There's only so many ninjas. Apparently in comics they're naturally recurring.

I love Spider-Man, but haven't checked out Avenging yet. Is it like a team-up series?

And it isn't an event, this is a team-up series pretty much, every issue has been a different team-up.

This looks cool.

Now this is a kind of crossover I can sink my teeth into without it seeming too cliche or hyped. Smaller crossovers all the way.

Really? I think it may be the scan quality. Because Hollingsworth's colors look superb on the pages of Punisher month in and out. I like the hazy, miasma bathed world that Hollingsworth brings to Punisher's NYC. I can see how that may not be your thing though. My only problem with it here is that Spidey's anatomy seems a bit off in the first two pages. Other than that it's business as usual for Marco.

Yeah I don't hate, logical, well executed crossovers. What I hate is the money grabbing events that they barrage us with. Rucka/Waid writing this and Checcheto doing art on all three titles will keep this consistent and tight. Plus I only have to buy an additional issue of Avenging.

As much as I love seeing Spidey in anything, I still think that seeing ninjas in New York is far too ridiculous. Heroes vs. Ninjas. How original.

I agree with you. I think they're trying to give it a "gritty" aesthetic feel and it's just not as good as it could be. But I do love the art still.

Rucka is doing an AMAZING job on the Punisher, definitely my favourite Marvel title at the moment; So is Waid on Daredevil. Chechetto's art is truly astounding and I cant get enough of it. Must buy for me!!!

Hopefully they will touch on the spider-Fu ! It would be cool if spidey uses his new moves on the ninjas and show daredevil his new tricks!
