Actually, the whole Hope-phoenix thing is understandable, but that Fongji crap that Marvel just introduced in New Avengers #25 is...just....just.....a bag of craps....

this is a weak story something that has been done already. this comic book series tells you more about marvel than the characters. it shows the ideas have dried up at marvel. they need new writers from different backgrounds and cultures. if they don't they will get the same old crap just in a different package!

The Thing/Cage vs Namor is so laughable. I hate seeing Namor being reduced to struggling against them. Anyone familiar with his character knows he wouldn own the both of them. Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess there is always going to be people that take opposite sides just to do it. There is like 10 people on here that say they don't like this artist's weak work. But I guess WE are the ones that are haters or not as enlightened. He has a job because of who his dad is. It is that simple. If you like it that is fine, but just note you are in the very low minority. I really do hate how lately if you don't like something on the internet you are trolling. No I just hate this artist's work.

I wonder if the people that always complain about an artist are the same ones that would go to an art museum and complain about a Picasso looking bad compared to a Rembrandt. Just enjoy the art for what it is, even if you don't get it or like it. I personally like the differences, keeps things from getting too "Lee/Turner/McFarlane" drawn. For awhile everything looked like their work, and some still do.

OT- I'm still trying to catch up with Marvel. Started with 2009 and almost done. Currently reading about Hope, Bishop and Cable still in the future. Will be fun to see where it all leads.

Have you picked up the old Cable series? That is one of my favorite examples of the fact that he ONLY has a job because of who his father is. Now JRJR has gotten alot better, but I would hope so after twenty years of drawing. Seriously though, not a fan favorite by any stretch. As for Liefield, anything he touches is dead to me. JRJR is living proof that it is who you know....lol.

I like the Thor vs Phoenix but Jr Jr's works is kinda sad for this project :( And I like his work.

Am I the only one that things this has been awful so far!!! I've read issue two and willing to go to issue four but if it does not get better by then it's getting filed along with Fear It'self as total dribble. Some characters and their relationships with each other are getting displayed as utter tosh. Sorry We have been friends, have fought alongside each other (or married) and we don't even talk about this...Really come on.

Seriously the way this is going, some random chick with red hair is going to wake from a coma in some hospital and Bam the return of Jean Grey as the Phoneix Froce takes her over...

Why does every preview show Namor getting beaten? By Luke Cage, in water i might add, and now Thing? Yeah right. P.S. I agree, the art is really bad.

@umbrafeline: u dont need gravity to exert motion over an object in a vacuum.. for a human to do this in a space suit is nigh on impossible however because one the suit would be too bulky &two the strength needed to exert such force (this is where Thor comes in...) is beyond a normal human

thankfully that is the entire phoenix, and not just a fraction of...wait that's just a fraction of it...well this "event" isn't over yet...at least we can look forward to more retconing...

I wouldn't rule it out. Did you read the last issue of Wolverine? Almost all the Marvel villains were partying in Madripoor and Wolverine (completely alone) took them all on and suffered no consequences whatsoever.

Things have just gotten so pitifully goofy lately.

JrJr was a favorite back in the 90's... But unlike Liefeld he actually did some good work back then and he was doing books where his art style made sense (like Spider-man, DD: Man Without Fear etc.), which was pretty good the way it was stylized. His stuff in the Avengers and AvX doesn't work because some characters, like Beast (who's supposed to be more Cat-like now) and Wolverine, among others, kind of fail.

Thank g-d someone else agrees with me in this discussion... so far no one has mentioned her! But hell yes... can't wait to see more of her! Especially in a fight like this: Hepzibah and Sunspot vs Luke Cage!! Awesome pair up. Would have been nicer that instead of Sunspot, Warpath should have been fighting alongside Hepzibah. But I'm glad someone brought her back! Hopefully we'll see more of her. So I'm guessing she chose Cyclops' side...
