On Friday we posted about Marvel's all-new upcoming mini-series AvX VS that will be released in conjunction with AVENGERS VS X-MEN. Rather than publishing all the drawn out fight scenes in the book featuring the main story, Marvel has decided to split the two into two separate volumes. Fans who love seeing fights play out can pick up AvX VS which will feature different creative teams tackling fights between many of the different Marvel characters.

Not to worry, though; Marvel is still promising to deliver a story. Earlier today the publisher revealed two teasers for the first issue of AVENGERS VS X-MEN, set to hit stores in April 2012. Each cover features a different fight between two different sets of characters -- the question is, will we be seeing these fights play out in the first issue of the big event? Based on the reveals from Friday, we are going to go with yes.
The first two characters to go head-to-head in the first issue of AvX VS will be Iron Man vs. Magneto and Namor vs. The Thing.
The first teaser features Black Widow up against Psylocke, and the second (above) has Iron Man up against Magneto. Who will win the respective battles? We will have to wait and see. Check out the full solicitations for the #1 issue as well as both covers. What do you think? Are you looking forward to this big Marvel event? Do you think Marvel's decision to split the story and battles into two separate books
