@KidSupreme: ...Luke Cage? Against the Collosus with Juggernaut powers? I'm sorry, but being a brick won't get you too far. He loses almost ever fight he's in.

What's makes Luke Cage "different" anyway. Forgive my ignorance but besides new 52 DC and Xmen comics I never really follow up on the rest of Marvel so what makes Luke Cage worthy of his status.

@Cafeterialoca: LoL seriously! I have to explain it to you why Luke Cage beat everyone in the X-men hands down.

@Steps: He's just a cool character. I like him, but this guy is talking out his ass by saying that Luke Cage can beat every X-Men. Just isn't going to happen. Sure Cage has unbreakable skin but he also can suffer from internal damage (secret war) and I don't care how strong he is, any telepath will just shut him down.

And Modok is somewhat relevant to this event, how exactly ?

He's in a successful video game and a successful cartoon series. He draws attention now and has a fan base outside of comic books.

He has had a large input into the Marvel Universe in recent times though, particularly he crossed paths with a few people involved in current events recently

in War Of Hulks, and made enemies across the board as a result, including many seen here, then later kept this trend going through red Hulks books,

or in short he's been a functional super-villain in the Marvel Universe for some time now influencing events around him proper.

Will they tie any of that in though? Hard to say, but his look is current. This thing may in fact just be chocked with characters as Children's Crusade was really.

Personally I'm really up for reading this in trade if at all, but I have a strong feeling the fallout will actually be reflected in the books I do read. Then again I can pick up any needed info online, and in any other event the recaps were enough and I found the main book would have actually not been essential to read. Veering more away than towards on this, it really reeks of " hyped up story that you must read to know the big secrets " kind of thing and less probable that it's going to be a substantial story, aka: Fast Food Comics: A quick fix and sudden sped up heart rate, then hunger, my health and appreciation for it all downgraded, and of course the likely diarrhea. I'm sure there's a chance I'll have my foot inserted in my mouth on all that, much like this same team of talent has done for the past few years with one big event book after another that they've written...?

I like the Scarlet Witch, I dislike MODOK intensely. He constantly reminds me of the TMNT cartoon when Shredder reveals himself to be something very similar.

@KidSupreme: Luke Cage is pretty weak compared to Hulk, Colossus and other heavy hitters. I mean, his whole Avengers team is made up of super strength characters. Who cares? Super strength is the most annoying power in comics because EVERYONE has it and it just reduces everything to power levels. Luke Cage is nothing special. In fact, you should be reading Thunderbolts, because that's a much better Luke Cage.

@Steps: You know Geoff Johns? How he runs a lot of the DC Universe? Well, Brian Micheal Bendis controls the Marvel Universe, and his favorite "pet" characters always get the spot light. They are Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, and Jessica Jones. Thing is, Bendis can write all his characters in an annoying way. If you want a good Luke Cage, read Thunderbolts by Jeff Parker.

@Cafeterialoca: See, I simply disagree with your statements. I think that is absolutely incorrect. Your entitle to your own opinions that's cool! ... On another note I like Geoff Johns and the way he is handling the DC Universe.

@goldenkey: I am not talking outta my ass, all it would take is a One Punch KO (Knock Out) to each telepath! BOOM! They wouldn't even see it come! BAM! Mama said Knock you Out! Luke Cage is gonna Knock you out! Boo Yeah!

@KidSupreme: One punch a telepath? That's easier said than done! He'll be as used as his wife under Purple Man! Anyways, do you read the recent Thunderbolts? You should if you like Luke Cage.

No. Not even close.
