I like everything but the mullet

So she's having trouble with interstellar travel? 
If they do this right and really make her into an icon Marvel could be looking at it's version of the Wonder Woman. 
BUT then again Marvel tends not to take advantage of great opportunities 

God I hate masks that let hair out.

I'm really excited and my only complaint is her hair...her hair. That's my only problem thus far. I'm pretty sure I'll get over it. Buddy bakers son has mullet and as long as I dont stare at it I'm not bothered. I think I will probably just have to do that for this book until they fix it

Fuax Hawk, eh? Definitely not a fan of the mask though. I might just grab this issue when it comes out. 

I'm really liking that Dexter Soy art! I'll be picking this up.

Art is incredible. The hair isn't that big of a deal to me. Definitely trying this out.

I actually don't like this art at all. It's too... arty. I hate comic art that's all smudgy and expressionistic.

I still don't understand why she needs a mask, she was able to fly and even fly into space without one before, why does she suddenly need one now? Not to mention she doesn't have a secret identity to keep either...I think the suit would look much better if they took away the mask/helmet and let her hair grow out instead of the mullet she's rocking there.

I am really looking forward to this. It looks awesome. I've been a big fan of Carol for quite a while now. Its really nice to see her finally earning the title of Captain Marvel, though by military standards isn't that a demotion? (I kid)

As for the hair I agree it looks silly. As much as I don't want Carol to take cues from Spider-woman, if they gave her a hairstyle similar to Spider-woman who keeps the mask and the long hair, that would look nicer.

Loving everything minus the hair. Grow it out again honestly. Whether its down or up in a pony-tail, just make it long again.

@spiderbat87: Well it might be "considered" a mask but it's supposed to cover the face or at least more than the eyes so it really doesnt count as one in my book. Which is just my opinion.

She is going back to the leotard in a few months. Its only a matter of time.

Awesome art! I also love the new costume! I am a bigger fan of bodysuits rather than the swimsuit look. They should have kept her long hair though or make it at least shoulder length. Now she looks like a lesbian.

Hate hate hate this.

Marvel spent the last 5 years building up Ms. Marvel and giving her a spot and identity within the Marvel Universe... she had a very distinct, individual and on-the-cusp of being an iconic look too... and it really felt like it was the right time for another Ms. Marvel series... it could've been her big chance to breakthrough and become one of Marvel's big stars.

so what do they do?

Ditch everything they spent the last 5 years establishing and give her an unrecognisable new costume and look and a new name to boot.

This isn't going to last beyond 8 issues. And the result is Ms Marvel will be stuck in this hideous costume and name for years after. All this series will have done is destroy one of Marvel's few female characters who could've held a book and make Marvel say "see, people don't want female stars! they wouldn't even buy a book about one of our biggest". No people wouldn't buy a book about a horrible take on a popular character that you completely re-interpretted and re-designed and then fobbed off to a woman who just happens to be the wife of one of their architects.

Way to go Marvel. Eugh.

Interesting costume......the hair is something different as well. Love the art! Hope this title lasts at least as long as her last title.

Nightwing's  mask protects his secret identity, Carol's doesn't as her identity was public.  But that still doesn't change the fact that she could fly into space with just a domino mask and yet all of the sudden she needs a full-face mask? In my opinion, the suit would look much better with out it and if they allowed her hair to grow out instead of the short mullet type hairstyle their giving her there.
