First Look At DAREDEVIL #12

Marvel gives us a three-page peek at the upcoming issue of DAREDEVIL.

Earlier today Marvel gave fans their first look at DAREDEVIL #12 with a three-page preview of the upcoming book. The issue, which is scheduled for release on April 9th will continue to unravel the Mark Waid story and will feature interior art from artist Chris Samnee.

Based on the three pages provided to readers by the publisher, it seems that Samnee will continue to evoke the same artistic style that we've seen from Paolo Rivera in previous issues of DAREDEVIL.

Based on the images provided, it seems that the romance between Matt Murdock and Felicia Hardy may have fizzled. Either that, or Matt's just a player. What do you think of the preview for DAREDEVIL #12? Are you following the series?

Cover by PAOLO RIVERA

FOC – 4/09/12, ON SALE – 5/2/12

Marvel is pleased to present your first look at, Daredevil #12. The best reviewed comic of the year continues as writer, Mark Waid, welcomes aboard fan favorite artist Chris Samnee (Thor: The Mighty Avenger, Ultimate Comics Spiderman)! Matt Murdock’s alter-ego leaves him little time for a social life; but the Man Without Fear finally makes time for Kirsten McDuffie! But, the assistant district attorney’s motives aren’t so innocent; she’s on a mission to uncover Daredevil’s true identity at any cost!

“I've been a lifelong Daredevil fan and Mark happens to be one of my all-time favorite funnybook writers, said Samnee. “I've have been head over heels for this latest run of DD since I first caught a glimpse of Paolo's onomatopoeia filled cover for issue one.”

“When Chris’s pages come in over email, I drop everything to admire them” explained Waid. “He's astounding.”

Will Daredevil’s super-human senses save him from falling hopelessly in love? Find out in Daredevil #12, hitting comic shops everywhere and the Marvel Comics app, this May; as Samnee joins the all-star Daredevil creative team, creating unimaginable adventures only The Man Without Fear can handle!

“Chris is a profoundly adept storyteller with an eye for posture and mood in all his characters,” adds Marvel Senior Editor, Stephen Wacker “He’s a perfect complement to his cohort Paolo Rivera’s outstanding art on Daredevil and I’m over the moon that he’s on board.”

I have loved this book since issue #1 but now I'm getting bored with it.Between the Mole Man thing,Daredevil fooling around with Black Cat,and now they are spending more time digging into his social life.I don't care about that.I've had enough of his social life.I've had enough of the "Oh wait, did you know Matt Murdock is Daredevil storylines".Fight some damn villains.

You may as well read the Brubaker run as well, it's just as good if not better. I always kind of wanted to read Scarlet but it's really hard to buy things with his name on.

Eh, I've read some of Brubaker's stuff and haven't been really impressed. Heard Scarlet was good but it's only 5 issues and on hold.

it's pretty seamless with the Bendis run IMO. I seen Scarlet was only 5 issues but I had presumed it was just a mini or something

@spiderbat87:

It is or was bi-monthly. IIRC it's on hold, could be wrong. Oh, and judging by some reviews some hated it.

I completely agree. I have been reading Daredevil for some time now and anyone who has been following knows that his social life and super hero life is going through a whole bunch of stuff right now due to the fact that his identity was revealed. ok...lets move PAST THAT. I want to see him taking people on. As mediocre as Liss' run was with B.P in Hells Kitchen there sure was more action...

Chris Samnee, Yes!!!!

Hard to be deceptive to a guy with a built in lie detector.

Sad to see Martin go, but hey. Long live Samnee!!!

Anyone else feel they're trying to 'spider-man' (as a verb) Daredevil?

Daredevil DOES get around.

I really loved him with Echo. Their relationship was poetic. And that arc that introduced them was so beautiful.

It is nice to read a comic that is not about doom and gloom or events that will "Change the hero FOREVER!"

These are just good, solid story lines that are a blast for a comic reader that doesn't feel every issue should end with a bout of depression.

Mark Waid will hopefully stay on this comic for a long time.

The thing with Black Cat was a one shot deal for her to swipe that do-hicky. This new thing with the ADA might be a little to convenient even for Matt to overlook. He's got some way of throwing her off or she's wanting to find out for more personal reasons.

different tastes as it was Bendis turned me off the book after me following it from #200 (vol.1) right till a few books into his run. Fortunately I managed to start picking it up again just before Shadowland kicked in. Now the hunt is on for those few years I missed to fill the hole :(

DD Forever

lol XD

If you read Stan Lee's Daredevil..than you would probably think differently.Waid's Daredevil is alot like Lee's rendition.

The thing is though, while yes Waid is trying to do much with Daredevil, while it is good. I grew up on the Dark "Frank Miller" version of the Man without fear. since then its been a sort of standard for what Daredevil has been. If anything though its great to see Daredevil going back to his roots im still find myself picking up and reading Black Panther: Most Dangerous Person Alive.

Has this book seriously been out a year already? Holy crap.
