Spider-Man is a menace! Today, Marvel is proud to present your first look at AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1.2 – the next exciting chapter of Learning to Crawl from New York Times Bestselling writer Dan Slott and Eisner-award winning artist Ramón Pérez! J. Jonah Jameson warned us! He said that kids would try to emulate the Amazing Spider-Man and he was right! Enter New York City’s newest menace – CLASH! He might have been one of Spider-Man’s biggest fans, but now he’ll become one of his worst enemies. Harnessing the destructive power of sound, Clash is about to tear his way through New York City and into a permanent place in Spider-Man’s rogues gallery.

Wanted by the cops, denied by the Fantastic Four, and flunking school – Peter Parker is no hero – yet.

Set between the character’s first appearance in 1962’s Amazing Fantasy #15 and 1963’s Amazing Spider-Man #1 - #3,Learning to Crawl blazes new trails for upcoming Amazing Spider-Man story arcs in Dan Slott’s new series! Don’t miss the story you never knew about the story you know by heart when AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1.2 swings into comic shops this June!

Coming into this, I didn't think I would like the art, but it's growing on me. It's a modernized version of an old school take. My only complaint is that the colors are a bit dark and not too vibrant. None the less, this issue looks pretty good.

So this Clash dude is more of a tech head than Peter, cuz he has no powers but built those repulsor thingys with no problem......

I wonder if Clash will Rock the Casbah...

At first the colors are a bit odd, but I grew to really like the "modern world, old timey colors" style.

I loved this art at first glance.

From what I've heard of Clash he reminds me of the Spider-Boy/Ock Kid from the days of old lol.

I'm kind of in the same boat. Looking at the cover, I thought I wouldn't like the artwork inside. However, like how Arturo posted, I really like the "modernized version of an old school take."

Does this storyline conflict with the one from Amazing Fantasy #16-18 by Kurk Busiek and Paul Lee from back in 1995?

Really like where the stories are going

I am enjoying the story but not so much the art. Not yet. It's not consistent enough panel to panel. Peter looks downright awful in some. I hope that gets cleared up.
