The art is amazing as usual! I just really wish they would've gone with the X-Men: First Class outfits from the 2006 series.

Is it just me or is it just off that Marvel releases previews so far ahead of the release date? (since #2 came out today)

Nope Jean Grey, the pic on the bottom left is when she was Black Queen of the Hellfire Club, during the Dark Phoenix Saga

@torzone: Then what's the significance, I wonder. This jean has never even heard of the Phoenix. And after A vs X, her becoming Dark Phoenix early would..probably lead to AvsX round two. Who knows, maybe it's one of those covers that has nothing to do with the actual plot of the issue.

I'm no doctor, but I'm sure the things like hair and angel wings should be covered in the operating room. The fact the this series has been awesome so far allows me to overlook this descrepancy.

Stuart Immonen is officially my new favorite artist, like period. Every thing i have seen from him is breath taking. Also this plot, and i have NO IDEA WHY, is totally got me reeled in hook line and sinker, it makes no sense really but omg its a fun read

Wait, wait, wait! First panel shows Jean in the 'student' spandex, then the 2nd panel shows her in her Miss Marvel outfit. I HATE it when there is no dialogue in the preview and it makes the pages out of context like this.

I suppose it will be to much to dare to hope that Cyclops will stop being an SOB terrorist, so my 2nd guess is that it will be Beast and he'll stop having that STUPID cat look. I hope they don't change Archangel. I actually thought it was cool when he got a brain wipe and became a whole new person. One of the only times Marvel had a good idea. They did a reboot, and it was cleverly set up at the same time

Also, found it strangely hilarious that all the younger x-men are in their classic original outfits, and Kitty is in her current - and they pretty much look identical. Think it's time Kitty had an update. XD

I really am interested in this book, mostly for the reason that I wanna see if and when Jean Grey will found out what happens to her and what her reaction would be and what repercussions it will have to NOW once she finds out. That's if the writers go that route though of course.

Solicitations' going to be deceiving; I reckon it won't be Jean that will be forever changed. maybe Beast and a new look?
