First Look: ALL-NEW INVADERS #2

The Invaders set their sights on intergalactic war criminals!

The theatre of war finds a strange new audience in your first look at ALL-NEW INVADERS #2, from the superstar creative team of James Robinson (STARMAN, EARTH 2) and Steve Pugh (ANIMAL MAN, GEN-X). As CAPTAIN AMERICA and THE INVADERS enter the cosmos in pursuit of intergalactic war criminals, the original HUMAN TORCH ignites once more! But the reunion may be short lived, as the Kree Empire unleashes the indomitable, the unbeatable, and the unstoppable TANALTH THE PURSUER on THE INVADERS. And with NAMOR trapped behind enemy lines, has the battlefield suddenly become a hunting ground? The unique re-teaming of history’s greatest heroes takes a savage turn this February in ALL-NEW INVADERS #2!

Art in this looks fantastic. I am really excited for this series. After Bucky's series got cancelled I was really hoping he's show up somewhere and now I have two series to read. James even replied to me on twitter and hinted that the Blazing Skull may make an appearance at some point. Pumped!

I love the art in this book I can't wait

I thought Bucky died in fear itself lol I'm way behind

at the end of that event it was revealed he actually survived, and there was a body double buried so he can become the Winter Soldier once again and right some wrongs he has committed in his past and take care of unfinished business.

This. Also I remember reading a Interview with the creative team and they said Union Jack will make a appearance to.

The art for the cover and interiors is freaking beautiful, and I'm genuinely curious about this.

I loved James during his run on Earth-2. Can't wait to see how he does with the original Human Torch.

eh gonna pass

I love the idea of the original invaders team getting back together to fight a new war but they seem like the wrong group to be fighting a space empire. Power set seems a bit low.

I love the idea of Robinson sinking his writing chops into Marvel's Golden Age characters. This actually makes me happy he left DC. Pugh is certainly a competent illustrator. My one criticism, based on what I'm seeing here, is with the colorist. That palette is way too bright.

Invaders #2???

I didnt know Invaders 1 came out?

I don't like that the Pursuer has a hammer. That should be strictly for the Accusers as a symbol of their station and authority. Pursuers should have their own thing.

If I'm not mistaken, in All New Marvel NOW! Point 1 during the All New The Invaders preview they made note that this female has become Ronan the Accusers equal. Something like that. Maybe thats why she has a hammer?

Equal in stature but a different branch of government. I always pictured Accusers as roaming police/judges hence the Hammer/gavel. Now maybe I'm reading too much into this but Pursuers are people hunters hence the originals ability to track them by brain scans. They should have went with something like the originals beta batons or at least a rod.

I do love me a good Invaders reunion ( union jack and spitfire I am in) , but the fact Cap nearly got his butt kicked with the powered up Avengers and a entire armada of aliens at his side, you really don't like his odds as he is going back with his former side kick, and android that bursts into flames, and guy on a normal day you would think twice about actually saving if he got captured lol

This book looks every bit as beautiful as I had hoped it would. One of those rare occasions where the interiors are actually better than the cover.

Can't wait for this book. Love James Robinson

I dunno- isn't it hard enough to bring real life war criminals( such as President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan) to justice without going after their intergalactic counterparts- and what forum or court could try them( the International Criminal Court only has jurisdiction over most but not all nations of planet Earth(Obama has asserted that the US does NOT accept that the ICC has jurisdiction over the US military) so shouldn't we walk before we can run???

Looks promising. A bunch of my favorite characters, a solid creative team, and the Kree.

Can't wait. This series looks promising but I'll save my judgments until I get to read it.

Silly Marvel, Mystique isn't Kree..

Still trying to get a feel for this. I've never been much for cosmic Marvel but lately with Guardians and such, it's pricked my interest.

I am on the fence.
