but that is what this is, the entire blurb reads like a bad fanfic and this isn't even the true 100th Anniversary special will be unless Marvel have a time machine.

What a dumb idea. Lame gimmick is lame.

We know Peter will still be young when we read his comics. Even through 2061. But the story wise has to make him older when the story sets in 2061. It still doesn't make sense why Peter has to be young. It would be great if he had white hair. Look at Hawkeye and Logan for example. The Old Man Logan storyline takes place 50 years after the fall of the heroes. So why not make Peter old as he faces his double worst enemy? This sliding timeline as you stated, creates some confusion. If we able to live through 2061, would we have to see comics set in 2061?

yes just like now the comics are set in 2014 but Peter was created in the 60's and he's still young...the same will still apply in 2061

I'm interested to see if they change Peter for the story. It looks like he killed the dude at his feet so is that his personality, the influence of the symbiote or was he trying to put pressure on the wound.

Would be interesting if Peter didn't have any spider powers in this special. It was all based on the symbiote but as a result of being bonded to it for awhile, and naturally studying it as a scientist, he uses his intellect to build a spider-man suit that simulates his traditional powers but is closed off to control.

I'm scared he's gonna eat people.

The pencils for this probably looks killer, but the coloring is kinda meh.

I am kinda confused, is this suppose to be the storylines in year 2061 of OUR future or in the comic timeline ? I mean if it is in the comic, those guys don't look like they are from 2061 :)

The artwork looks absolutely sick. Venom is always a visually imposing/striking figure. I much prefer the hulking Venom look, and pairing it with Kingpin is quite stunning as well. I think that picture with half Venom half Wilson is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

I originally thought that this 100th anniversary Marvel thing was Marvel being cocky, didn't realise it was a event. So is it basically Future's End Marvel style?

No, not really. It's not a big story arc event, the books as far as I know don't tie in together. It's just a fun little "What might our books look like in 2061." thing.

I'm really disappointed by how many people can't understand this concept haha

Interesting idea, just not interested in it myself. Little disappointing that they couldn't age Parker a teeny tiny bit (sliding timeline and all, it seems it didn't slide at all in this instance). They do age heroes a bit from time to time: Parker isn't a teen like when he got his powers, Reed and Sue Richards have had kids who are tweens now, Bucky is an adult and not a teen sidekick anymore, etc.

So does Kingpin has the abilities of Electro and have the Venom Symbiote and possibly have some kind of machinery like Rhino or Doc Ock?
