Exclusive Preview: SUPERBOY #33

I would like it if the gold one had been Superboy's actual design as well. It kind of disassociates him from Superman more, which is what I think superboy needs sometimes. Honestly I'm probably not the best person to ask where to jump on. I've been really off and on again with it. This book has suffered horribly from having to be related to other books, in my opinion. Every time I felt the book was finding it's feet they would have to make superboy part of a bigger story arc for another character and his book lost focus. The first arc is pretty bad as I kind of felt like I couldn't read Superboy without having to read Teen Titans too. Because of this theirs not really a good jumping on point to me. Issue 18 onwards had a good story. It was also helping superboy get some much needed supporting cast of his own. But again that only last till he's pulled back in to teen titans stuff.

I really like the kniht-ish one too. For some reason, my favorite is the gold one. This whole storyline kind of makes me want to get back into the book. I read the first arc with NOWHERE and the Titans, but it was so poorly written and the art was so bad...did it really improve? What's the best jumping-on point now? Is it any better?

Does anyone else miss the leather jacket wearing Superboy/Kon-El from the 90s, & the series by Kesel & Grummett? That was a fun character & a fun book.

due to low readers

I love the series, hate the people that is cancelling the book. But there is a chance that they will revive the book because I read that DC adapted the Cancellation and Revivification strategy from Marvel. so there is a chance but I'm not to sure. but if they cancel him for real I will tear my hair out.

Does anyone else feel that the "because Lois Lane was human, Jon was going to be EVIL" as some garbage theme rejected by an X-title?

I think my favorite is the one kneeling wearing the jacket with the logo on the side. Also the one to the far right, he looks kind of knight-ish. I haven't been following too closely since Kon-El was killed but it seems like this superboy is pretty psychotic still. Really the closest thing this book reminds me of is a not as well done version of superior spider-man.

Hot damn! I missed that. Well, Jim Harper was a murdered beat cop who was later cloned and enhanced to superhuman levels across the board by Cadmus before he got the costume and the shield.

Maybe that's their angle... I'm gonna have to look at MoS again to see this detail I can't believe I missed!

Amen. As an old school Guardian fan, I am crazy about the new costume. It's cosplay worthy and I can literally see this on the Big Screen in the DCMovieU in the future (you know it's just a matter of time before Cadmus shows up on the big screen)!

when is this getting relaunched i know its getting canceled and that's a good thing since this series has been plagued with bad writers, too many cross overs, and underwhelming stories
