Exclusive Preview: EARTH 2 #15.1 DESAAD

I'm not sure I'm sold on the new look for Desaad, but I do like that the Darkseid's underrlings are a bit more powerful. Afterall, they are suppose to be New Gods. In the past, except so Darkseid ANYONE could beat up the Gods from Apokolips. Desaad, Kalibak, Steppenwolf, Granny Goodness ... all of them could be schooled by Zan, Jayna, and Gleek the Monkey. So I applaud the move to make them more menancing and a threat.

Now I agree with the look. He looks like a bad version of the Time Trapper ... but Care Bears villian!?! Lol, I love it! That's exactly it.

WOW! he's more "badass" and scarier... but I thought Desaad was a bitch before the 52 though... Always getting punked by Orion and the rest of the gods....

But then there's really nothing wrong with a more sadistic version. He's more the "god of sadism" than ever before honestly and I quite honestly like this new godlike persona he's having.
But I also wish DC still makes Desaad Darkseid's bitch. And also Orion's bitch when Orion wants to make him a drag doll when he wants to. Just like the old comics....

@mangakid1995: There is no Earth-1 Desaad. Post-Flashpoint there's only one Darkseid, one Desaad, one Highfather etc in the multiverse. The Desaad that appeared in the first arc of Justice League is the same one that's appearing in World's Finest.

@citizenbane: Yes but this is Earth 2 Desaad. Earth 1 Desaad can still be the scheming coward he's always been, same goes for his new design we haven't seen a clear look at Earth 1 Desaad he probably still looks the same.

Don't get me wrong, he was a great leader for DC, but as a writer I try to avoid him.

Not to get hung up on what they said. being stranded on earth.... they do realize there is more than one earth. hell from what we seen genesis and apocalypse could be earth as well but opposing spectrums of our possible futures.

I'm picking up almost all of the Villain titles..except for this one and a few others. I only make room for villains I care for, this Desaad, along with Arcane, Penguin, and H'el, isn't on that list.

Not too wild about the change on his look. Makes him seem too vampire/incubus to me for some reason. I'll give it a chance though. Go Villain's Month!

The entire point of Desaad is that he's a terminal coward and behind-the-scenes schemer.......

I try not to be one of those whiny fans in the case of redesigns, but I just don't like this one. It's not the worst, but I just don't get what they were going for.

What the hell did they do to Desaad? I don't even know what I'm looking at.......

So he is now an empath or psychic vampire, think I might like him a bit more for that.
