The Catbird costume is awesome. Love the art here. Not sure if I plan on reading Gothtopia outside of Tec tho.

I expect to see some Gothtopia cosplay later this con season.

It's actually a bit better than it sounds if you read it... on paper, the concept sounds idiotic, but I've been enjoying it in action. (Referring to the Gothopia story as a whole of course, not so much this tie-in, which I'm sure is probably terrible)

I hate the fact that Snyder's on the past and the DCU is on this.....crazy train.

@punyparker: You should at least pick up detective comics 27 to see for yourself. It was actually a good issue and even in the first part of this story Bruce is already starting to figure things out. The story is really interesting and unique and has potention to be great, but it could also very easily lose all its momentum at the same time. Only one issue in though so too early to tell

The simple act of reading would probably go a long way toward answering that question.

I loved DC#27 and Gothtopia has been pretty awesome. I kinda wish Catbird would become a real thing.

I wonder if Selina will remember all of the Batman secrets she finds out as Catbird.

@razzatazz: that's fair. Of the three issues thus far (I'm not counting BoP because it really wasn't a Gothtopia issue), which have you preferred?

Sigh, this may be the best issue of catwoman, simply because it doesn't have to connect to anything else established in the book. Sigh, you think if were really good, Gail Simone will guest write for an issue...or 5?

@akbogert: I am somewhat of a dystopian aficionado, so I would like to see it through to the end before I give thumbs up or down.

I would pick this issue up if Harley happens to be at that clinic. :D

Can Ann Nocenti leave the title?

@2cool4fun: Detective Comics 27 is worth buying regardless, but yeah, it will definitely help clear this up as well. As others have pointed out, Gothtopia is a current crossover event (so not an AU) in which some crazy powerful hallucinogenic seems to have taken over Gotham and made everyone see and behave as if they were in some sort of utopia. The only "crime" is (as seen above) massive quantities of suicides. In DC 27, and particularly in Batwing 27, the veneer has been peeled away a bit for some characters who realize that knowing they're in danger puts them in more danger.

Batgirl 27 was also a tie-in but took place more or less entirely within the utopia (didn't keep it from being kind of horrifying though.

I enjoyed the first three parts. Not the same as "good" but at the least I think it's been better than the last couple crossovers I've read.

Nocenti must have a really good contract with DC with no way of getting out of paying her.

I've enjoyed Gothtopia so far and I want to read this but Ann Nocenti is terrible.

Either end this book or give it to a new writer

@punyparker: everyone in Gotham is having the same hallucination, and this is it. So this is still the new 52 universe. But what the characters are seeing and doing isn't really what's happening.

I think I'll stick to Gothtopia in the pages of Detective Comics.

Nocenti got booted off Green Arrow, why can't the same happen with this series?

It might be that everyone in the city is under some type of Hallucinogen that is somewhat similar to Scarecrow's. It's not an alternate reality so much as an illusion of an alternate reality, if that makes any sense.

can they just put this solo book out of it's misery until they can get a better writer.

I was interested in what is going on here, until "CatBird".... Not sure anything can really justify something that sounds that dumb.

This is mr olliff's first comic as the new artist for catwoman. Sure am going to miss Raff Sandoval but it likes like he left it in good hands from what I'm seeing here. Its actually a relief because now is the first time I'm seeing his drawings.

Is this?.....this is an alternate reality right?....and this is Batman?!
