Exclusive Preview: ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #8

Superman is trying to save a planet and Lois is putting Lex Luthor on the spot.

As you should be aware, comics are not only available at your local comic shop. Each week, actually six days a week, DC Comics releases a new Digital First issue for only 99 cents on the DC app and comiXology. One of those titles is ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. Each Monday you can get a new issue.

This past week, we saw the first part of a three-part story written by Matt Kindt with art by Stephen Segovia. You definitely should check out this week's issue and the series to see the different creative teams give their take on the Man of Steel. In issue #7, Superman rushed off (in space!) to respond to a distress call from a distant galaxy).

DC has given us an exclusive look at next week's chapter.

ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #8

"Faster than a Bullet" part 2 of 3.

In the midst of an intergalactic conflict, Superman must act fast to safe a planet from utter destruction! Meanwhile, Lex Luthor reveals the full extent of his plan during his interview with Lois Lane.

I see an improvement in the art. I read the first issue and it was ugly.

I'm LOVING this!!!!!!!! Especially the fact that it's CLASSIC Superman!!!!!!!!!

I've never seen Superman use his heat vision like that. Matt Kindt is pretty great.

Wait, Luthor is doing the President bit AGAIN?!? That's when he started sucking the last time!

Or is it going to be like in the JLU cartoon when it was a scam, cause that made WAY more sense for Luthor. "Do you know how much power I'd have to give up to be President?"

I dropped the first story (Issue 1-3) after reading the very first issue because art there was very, very ordinary and that spoils all the fun even if the story was good , and even the story was ok nothing really impressive.

The second set of story (4-6) has been pretty cool, the art is pretty amazing, story is ok i suppose and its for just 99c although it does feel like reading a whole normal comics, in fact it feels much better and fun :)

Havent read 7 yet , will do soon, and will keep an eye on the future story, really hope the art quality doesnt fall back to issue 1, honestly.

I quite liked the first print issue of Adventures of Superman and looking forward to reading this story in the 3rd issue I guess. I am just not in the practice of renting pixels from DC, comixology, or anyone else. After Morrison's unique Action Comics run and H'el in Superman I enjoy reading short and fun tales about Supes. Can't wait for print issue #2 and beyond, unless OSC is solicited again.

Its not, and DC has made it very easy. They have New 52 written clearly on the cover page for a issue thats part of the continuity.
