I love, love, love the fact that John is the new training officer and main character of GLC. He should be a leader and mentor to others. I love how the Sapphire may become villains again instead of allies. I love Fatality. I love Guy has turned to the Red side, and I love the Red Lantern Corps.

This is what I get for not reading the other books for the first gaurdian crossover. I don't know what going on.

Green Lantern: Although Hal Jordan should always be the main Green Lantern I don't like that they are making him the leader of the GL corps. They should have either made it Salaak or have some kind of high council or Honor Guard of Green Lanterns. When I say Honor Guard I don't mean just the humans either. Also are they forgetting that like half of the corps hates Hal? It's good that it looks like Hal will be heading the book again. I wonder what they are going to do with Simon Baz now. Is that a Star Sapphire he is fighting?

Green Lantern Corps: Although my least favorite Lantern (never should take Hal's place EVER) it's good that he's getting more time. I think training officer is actually a good position for him. Although I hope that doesn't mean Kilowog wont be going back to the job because there is no better trainer then him. I find Johns relationship with Fatality disturbing. He destroyed her planet, she hated him so much, it realy felt it came out of nowhere when they started hinting at it, and this change in her came about because she was altered when she was encased in the sapphire.

New Guardians: My favorite Lantern Kyle Rayner. Not sure I like the fact they are making him a White Lantern full time. IMO it's something that is hard to pull off for short periods of times and only when he has no other choice. Not digging the costume either and I hope it's still going to have it's other cast.

Red Lanterns: This is one book I can't believe is still going on. Even if it's gotten better over time. I don't like the concept that they are Lanterns of Vengeance. I was a bit bothered that Guy Gardner was going to be a Red Lantern but seeing as how it suggests that he is working under cover that eases my mind.

Larfleeze: Why DC? I mean really? Come on.

I remember a time when Larfleeze was actually someone to be feared in the GL universe now he is just a joke and I hate it.

@captain13: Although John isn't my favourite, it's nice to hear a die hard Stewart fan like yourself is finally getting what you want for your favourite character. Shame I'm dropping out of the GLC universe in the prior issue .

@dernman: Simon Baz will be in Justice League of America. He'll be on Earth as a member of the JLA when the Trinity War takes place. B'Dg is supposed to appear in JLA too as Baz's mentor.

@lvenger: I like B'Dg and glad he's sticking around for awhile.

i'm a big gardner fan, so i think i'm gonna switch coprs for red lantern. for me, stewart isn't that interesting.

Does Larfleeze really need his own book? /really/??

Hmm, actually looks better than I thought! Guess Green Lantern is staying on my pull list after all!

Hal Jordan is the leader of the Green Lantern Corps? Like the entire corps? Clearly I have some catching up to do. Wasn't reading a single Lantern book but now that Stewart will be highlighting his own book, I'm going to pick that up. These all look pretty interesting to be honest, but I'm just here for Stewart.

Butcher is coming back? That's good news.

Too many lanterns to keep up with. I don't like how each series isn't self contained and requires you to read all the other series to understand what is happening (at least for major events).

Maybe it's just me, but it's too confusing for me T.T

I don't like every GL title and they connect to much right now. I'm also sick of the cosmic thing. I want a GL to stay grounded on Earth. I WILL NOT be reading these titles anymore.

Green Lantern: I agree that Salaak (or a high guard) should have been leader of the corps over Hal, but I think Hal being leader is going to be interesting. And yeah, I think that's a Star Sapphire. Maybe a super angry Super Carol?

Green Lantern Corps: Fatality and Johns together just seems like some kind of weird taboo to me. He destroyed her entire race and now he's her lover? That's some messed up stuff.

New Guardians: It seems to me like DC feels the need to make Kyle stand out from the other Lanterns, which is why he's a full time WL now. First he was the last torch bearer, then he was ion, I guess this is the next step for him. My only issue is that now that he's a White Lantern, he's not with the Green Corps anymore, so he's basically a solo act. He should've just gone back to Ion. But whatever, I'm excited for this. He's my favorite Lantern as well.

New Guardians is a definite must for me. Enough said.

You mean more than usual? I think the atrophy is supposed to be scientifically normal or somethin'.

Kilowog resigned his position as Corps trainer at the beginning of the Emerald Warriors ongoing, I believe and began exploring the unknown sectors with Guy Gardner, Arisia, and Bleez. Stel took his place. I'd like to see Kilowog in the honor guard. But what about Stel?

Because the solicit of this issue mentions Stewart dominantly, it doesn't necessarily mean he will be the sole star of the series for the forseeable future. As long as I've been reading GLC, we've always had different scenes in each issue showcasing Gardner, Stewart, Salaak, Kilowog, Soranik Natu, Vath Sarn and Isamot Kol, etc.

Where are the other solicits? Have they not come out yet?

If Hal doesn't actually become a Black Lantern after all that's happened I'm going to be very disappointed.

Dc has been using more legion mythology in the 21st century such as the Durlans who are similar to the Skrulls. Marvel is now using a Council of Worlds so maybe it is time for dc to use the United Planets in the 21st century.

Robert Venditti is a great writer. I have no problem picking up GL & GLC once he's onboard. @bladewolf How do you figure John Stewart is a lame character? IMO, he's the best GL.

A lot of his plotlines are exactly the same. "Oh no, I had to make a terrible sacrifice and lots of people died, I feel guilty," etc. I feel like he's the least interesting Earth lantern. His personality is a bit too rigid and generic for my tastes.

Ironic seeing a lot of people think Hal is as interesting as a cardboard cutout. Still to each his own. At least the 4 main humans are spread out now so everyone should get some focus.
