Exclusive First Look: STORM #3

Storm and Forge had quite a past. What will their coming together mean this time?

STORM #3

(W) Greg Pak (A) Scott Hepburn, David Baldeon (CA) David Yardin (Variant Cover) Stephanie Hans

• Long ago, after she was worshipped as a goddess on the plains of Africa, Storm was stripped of her mutant powers and fell into deep depression. A brilliant inventor named Forge came to her rescue and nursed her back to health, showing her that she is so much more than her superhuman abilities. And a romance blossomed between them. But it was a love made to be broken...

• Now, years later, Storm has the powers and stature of a goddess once more, and she is reunited with Forge. But what does fate have in store for the pair this time?

I don't think I'll ever like Storm's mohawk.

I, the Villain that's currently chillin, does not approve of this art.

Just look at Storm's face(s) to get what I mean.

i'm now off this book, for the art alone

The art is awesome but Storm's face is not drawn well.

What happened to the other artist?

You know what, I surprisingly really liking this series and I mostly dislike STORM.

I'm still buying 11 copies of this issue.

Couldn't be worse than the whole Wolverine-Storm relationship. Forge always got the short end of the stick.

The mohawk needs to go.

Posted by tximinoman

horrible art.

Might pick up just for Forge.

The art isn't bad, the faces just aren't... you know, pretty. I mean, I like the colours and the environments though simple, are good. I think it's just the lack of pretty faces which is unusual in a comic book

What's wrong with her Mohawk? I thought that was a classic look for her!

Posted by PattiLaBelleStormfan

@chillinvillain: I agree with you. He butchered her face. She looks deformed.

Okay .. who the hell let colossus smash the front door in on her face!?

*waits patiently for someone to post image of Imhotep before he awakens*

.. someone? anyone?

@jeepeh @fables87 it is.. just not this time..

...forge is cute though..I'm not letting the art bother me..thats the place where the villagers prayed to her..seems interesting.

The Artist Has Turned A Stunningly Beautiful Goddess Into A Total Monstrosity !

A thousand curses upon you!!! When I first saw the title I thought "meh not Storm, cannot stand her" then I thought "don't be such an ignorant ar$e you know nothing of the character! give it a try". I felt proud of myself for having an open mind about this...then I saw the art. Really not my cup of Earl Grey...at all. Her face is drawn so badly I honestly think it looks like she has had a mild stroke...serious...I am not being deliberately antagonistic.

This art is just....painful. I liked his work on Captain Marvel so hopefully this looks better outside of the preview pages :-/. I'm glad it's only for 1 issue and that we have Ibanez back on the art (and Redmond on colors).

GO LOOK AT IT LOL!

@blackice709: I have to be fair and say that the She-Hulk art is bloody awful. I read through the series so far and it was painful. A few say that the art should not matter and that it's all subjective. This is a strange philosophy as comics and graphic novels are 50% art. I can appreciate excellent art in many series like Thor GoT, or some of the amazingly varied offerings in Sandman, Lucifer, Captain Marvel, Death Vigil etc but She-Hulk is trying something a bit too zany. I think to push the boundary with the style of writing OR the art is one thing...but both is suicide. Too much to appreciate and process. It reminds me of a lot of early Dark Horse series for Aliens, Predator and all the crossovers...some of the art was truly atrocious...in fact most of it was. But the strength of the stories carried you through.
