We've been wondering about the identity of the mysterious woman said to be the 'Earth 2 Amazon' for quite a while now, and the latest preview of EARTH 2 finally reveals a bit more information regarding her identity as well as where Steppenwolf has been since the fall of 'the Wonders' back in the first few issues of this series.
The preview to EARTH 2 #8 reveals a Steppenwolf who appears never to have left earth. A terror to humanity that has been stuck on Earth 2 since the Boom Tube closed, taking refuge in a country that has closed its doors to International Law. In a brief monologue he reveals bits of information about the woman who has quickly become his second in command; a woman born on Earth to the "greatest warrior from Amazon Island" (HMM who could that be, we wonder?!) and one who has embraced the tutelage of Apokolips' warriors. Robinson's brief mention of the Amazon in the preview reminded us a little bit of Big Barda, which was nice to see. It will be interesting to see whether this character embraces Steppenwolf's ways, or if she will eventually turn on him and serve her home planet.
