I don't like the art here. some of the faces look distorted. The normal artist returns in issue 9 wasn't it?

DC knows better, it would not be Donna. It's Hippolyta/Lyta aka Fury, the daughter of the Golden Age Wonder Woman - rebooted.

I really like this book. Every issue its fun to read these DC Heroes not shackled by long years of continuity. I know there was controversy because the JSA heroes were so classic but personally since I nver read much of JSA this book is a breath of fresh air for me. Every issue has been solid, I do hope Nicola Scott comes back. Robinson is killing it on this book.

If it's Big Barda I swear to Shazam, Odin, and Zeus that I will make it my life's mission to destroy Earth 2!!!!!!! They've already annihilated all of the Golden Age characters to the point that they are recognizable only by name, but they won't be ruining Jack Kirby's greatest creation on my watch!!!!!

@takuy: They know better? Them trying to arbitrarily boil everything down to a 5 year timeline implies otherwise. Also I don't see anything inherentley wrong with them making this Donna Troy, actually seems pretty interesting to me. And it cleans up her otherwise ridiculously convoluted character history

As for the JSA i prefer them as actual heroes of an actual world than the shadows of their past selfs that they were pre 52!

I have read my fair shair of JSA stories so i can say that i get the people who doesn't like the change!

Looking forwards to this...and when James will get on the podcast and make fun of Sarah for not giving him 5/5 :)

It's good to see that Fury is still Diana's daughter, so i'm guessing she's Lyta then (or maybe has a new name).

I am glad Fury, daughter of Wonder Woman is back. Infinity Inc was an old favorite of mine. I am not really sure if the bald guy is Steppenwolf or Dan Didio.

I wouldn't mind if it were Donna but I'd be disappointed because it means, at least for a long while, she wouldn't be in the same universe as Nightwing and all them. Meaning they couldn't do some kind of crossover with her, Dick, Roy, garth, and wally. If the others ever get around to coming back themselves.....

I do not think it will be Barda, I do think her first new 52 appearance might be in Wonder Woman. At least I hope I am a fan of Barda and Mister Miracle so I do not really want to see them be in earth 2 would rather have the new gods be in the main universe.

i dont know much about the golden age of characters of dc and im a bit of a fan of the original ultimates run over on marvel, this is a great combo of both!

I'm not sure I want this to be our new Donna, it's kind of against what I like about her from what I see here.

LOL yeah I am not feeling Earth 2 as well. I read the first 6 issues and they did not really do it for me only new designed character I liked was Hawkgirl and I thought the first battle with Grundy was not done well and was even slightly boring at times. Oh well I think I will give the second storyline a shot in a trade maybe it will pick up?

I've fallen off in the past 2 or 3 issues but oooo i'll be bumping something off the list for this.

Apparently you didn't read any of the previous announcements of her being Fury.

she looks like donna not fury/lyta. this is heart two and the new 52 so they could easily make donna the daughter of earth 2 wonder woman. if they could make hawkgirl hispanic and alan scott gay, why not make donna wonder woman's daughter instead of sister? not that big of a difference and her powers would stay the same since they are basically the same. either way i'm happy to see either character though im rooting for donna. hopefully this issue will tell us who she is.

@Fantasgasmic: Actually I did read that it is Fury, but unless we have actual proof that the Fury they are speaking of here is Helena Kosmatos, then we just simply don't know who it is for certain . By now it should be evident to anyone that DC's New 52 has used that 'five year rule' to change things up however they want. I'm just putting my opinion out there. Yeah, it says its Fury and I acknowledge that, but is it Kosmastos? Who knows? Wouldn't put it beyond DC to make Donna Troy into Fury for the New 52 here.

How can Steppenwolf be on Earth 2 when he was present during Darkseid's invasion in the first arc of Justice League? Unless Earth 2's invasion took place after the Justice League's origin.

Looks like Sif in a sluttier costume.

It is supposed to look like an apokolips costume and it looks a little bit like one of the costumes of Big Barda who was originally working for Granny Goodness. Jack Kirby did both the new gods and the Thor characters so there would be many similarities.

I really really really really hope that it's Donna; that'd be perfect.

Donna and Wally have no traditional connections to earth 2 and maybe they have versions in earth 9 or maybe later on they will get reboot versions in the main earth ? Red Tornado android started in earth 2 and it does look like Red Tornado is being used in earth 2 nowadays. I also hope that in the future, they will also have a main earth version of Red Tornado.

I always felt that they should have had Donna Troy become Fury once she out grew being called Wonder Girl, like how Dick became Nightwing.

I think she must be blonde as Lyta Hall. That will make it different from Donna, or Wonder Woman. Maybe the same costume but with blond hair, and his red locks, would have been more original. Keeping some of its classic look.

Relax, broseph. Change occures naturally over time. You can't keep something the same forever.
