I don't care too much for Lords of Mars, but the Black Bat and The Shadow look good as always.

I was going to originally wait for the trade as well, then i caved in and actually got caught up in the series. It is really unique (at least to me). It continues a noir theme from the start, but changes into it's own thing after issue four I would say. It is worth your time for sure and if you can get it in single issues go for it.
