Exclusive: Essence Strikes In TEAM 7 #3

So I assume we are going to find out how Essence got out of 'Trigons Heart'? (Wasnt that what she called that place she was locked up?)

I really want them to change up the costume designs. If anything, its making this title feel extremely 90s that they all have the same exact "shoulder-pad" look. Please, DC, give them something sleek and more modern to wear.

I just now noticed that myself. This is the first time that the artist has remained the same. Not my favorite art mind you but some consistency is nice.

yes, says so in the solicits. Eclipso looks like a monster instead of some guy with a dumb costume, which looks great. But we have been seeing half blue faced people since issue one. This Eclipse arc will probably run 4 to 6 issues.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but T7 is three issues in and a different artist for each issue? What the? I was intrigued after the first issue but now meh... don't know...

I believe when it says "from the pages of" it's just referring to a character (essence) that has appeared once before in another book. Not any particular set of events.

She's appeared in a few issues of RHatOs. She also had a backup story in two or three issues of it.

The shadow on the face, the purpleness of color, talk of a "black diamond": it has to be Eclipso right?

They'll be meeting in January in Superboy's Annual before that, too, so who knows what will happen. But if you look at the Deathstroke vs. TT (and Ravagers) issue, it shows Warblade on the cover attacking Slade. Warblade and Rose have been joined at the hip in terms of appearances lately, so I have a hunch...

Not a fan of this title yet but will say that I much prefer Slade's look in Team 7 than his own title.

I'm really loving Jordan's work on Shadowman, but Team 7 is just a total dud for me. This book has way too many characters who are completely interchangeable. A bunch of tough guys with smart mouths and guns, boring.

@xtremekidx: You want Nightwing to die!!! I just feel sorry for the new TT to face Deathstroke. They'll be lucky to get away with no one dying. It would be cool seeing Nightwing confront DS, yes. Like they had a confrontion in the past, that would be cool. What do u think about the TT vs Deathstroke? I wouldnt be suprised if NOWHERE hired him.

@Miss_Garrick - They aren't called Team 7 because of the number of members. At least, they weren't back in Wildstorm. There were a bunch of teams, they were the 7th. I don't think an in universe reason for the name has been given in DC, though.

I like Essence so much, but i find it weird that she is showing up here. She might have still been with the All-Caste at this point, but i jsut hope that she is portrayed well :P

Interesting. I was wondering if them going to Sentinel Island was a coincidence or what, but they are using the uncontacted tribe in the real North Sentinel Island, which actually does have a group of highly hostile uncontacted indigenous people living on it, one of the last in the world... though the real Sentinelese are black.

I love Essence soooo much, but this art is not quite to my liking.
