Exclusive Cover Reveal: THE NEW 52: FUTURES END #11

Looks like someone has some explaining to do.

Earlier today we shared an exclusive first look at Cliff Chiang's TEEN TITANS #1 variant as well as some Batman 75th Anniversary variant covers. We have one more cover reveal to share.

With the way the solicits are rolling out for THE NEW 52: FUTURES END, we tend to get one cover with four sets of solicit for the month. DC has given us a look at Ryan Sook's cover to issue #11. Looks like there's going to be a heated discussion.

THE NEW 52: FUTURES END #11

The Justice League demands Firestorm answer for Green Arrow’s death.

Issue #11 is on sale July 16, 2014.

Oh I thought that was Booster Gold for a sec.

Yeah so did I.

I stopped reading around issue 3 due to budget reasons, but seriously, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. Firestorm was late, yeah, he was late for selfish reasons, but that's it, not like he blew up GA himself.

Sigh... doesn't matter they still keep painting him as a jerk. Firestorm was the big reason I wanted to read this, and just like Billy, Ronnie has become a really nasty person, and I hate it. I will say though, the event got me to care about Mr. Terrific again, a character I didn't find very interesting who is now the highlight of this book..... But the Firestorm thing still sucks.

Wasn't Firestorm kind of a jerk before the N52 even started though? I remember Ronnie being kind of a jerk back during Brightest Day.

@mrtummytumms: Sorta, but here he is just plain unlikable. Seriously, it feels like they want me to hate him.

That's the whole point of this series. To get people interested in secondary, lesser known characters. That's one of the things I'm enjoying about this series.

@micah: Me too, I absolutely love that it's about secondary characters, and I commend DC for getting me to not only care about, but really like Mr. Terrific. I just don't want Ronnie to be a jerk. Maybe he'll come out clean at the end of this, but for now I feel a little uneasy. Other then that though Futures End has been pretty good.

I commend them for this approach as well. I think once Ronnie get's his life together, his personality should get better.

@micah: I defiantly hope so. Unlike Billy who I think needs to be good at the start for his character to work, I don't mind seeing Ronnie struggle a little.

Can't wait to see firestorm( well atleast half of him) accept his mistake. Also can't wait to see Tim Drake return to his superhero status

I've never read much with Firestorm, but I HATE him in this book. Total d!ck.

On a different note, is that Roy Harper on the cover?

Billy's New 52 origin is okay. Lately his character seems to have returned to the more lighthearted approach he was known for Pre-52. During Trinity War during his fight with Superman he catches Superman off guard and delivers a powerful punch and remarks "Holy crap I just knocked out Superman!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Edited by CaptainMarvel4Ever

@micah: Yeah I liked that scene in Trinity War. My problem with Billy is the thing that made him so original, was that no matter how bad it was he stayed positive and good, that's one of the biggest reasons I loved him, but now he has a very generic "Cold hearted kid learns to love and be good origin" which dose not do it for me. I've said that if there is a problem in the New 52, it can be solved later, but the thing with Billy is, no matter how good he get's that origin still corrupts him. It's like dropping food on the floor, you don't want to eat it covered in dust/dirt, and even if you wash it off, it still loses a lot of flavor.

In that way, and the weekly schedule; this reminds me of 52. I mean, it's not nearly as amazing, but definitely of a very similar vein.

Looks more like Geo-Force then Booster. Well the mask and hair, would make sense to be Roy though.
