Exclusive Cover Reveal: JUSTICE LEAGUE #26

What could this cover mean for FOREVER EVIL?

Every once in a while, for various reasons, a completed cover doesn't make it to publisher's monthly solicits. Sometimes they contain spoilers or sometimes production tweaks are being made. JUSTICE LEAGUE #26 was an issue that did not show the final cover. DC has given us a first look at what we can expect on December 24.

Check out Ivan Reis and Joe Prado's cover.

JUSTICE LEAGUE #26

A FOREVER EVIL tie-in! Why has the Crime Syndicate really come to our Earth? What are their darkest secrets? And how will their actions fundamentally change the Justice League as we know it? Meanwhile, Grid controls the world’s power and communications, but what does he truly want from the Syndicate? Plus, a member of the League struggling to survive plots a path of return...and revenge.

Will this scene actually be in the comic? When will Hal Jordan come back to Earth to help his former teammates? And what about Sinestro? Is he coming back? He does appear to have a white streak in his hair like he did at the end of GREEN LANTERN #20 but maybe it's somehow the Earth 3 version?

Here's the black-and-white variant along with the combo-pack version.

I'm rather sure that's Power Ring due to the emblem on his chest and the aura around his arm.

Edited by AllStarSuperman

yeah that's not Hal

Posted by Eneguema_I

Um, where does it say that Hal Jordan is coming back to Earth? I think the "surviving member" is Batman... Wonder how Sinestro ties into this.

Posted by UltimateSMfan

Looks intense! gonna be a good Christmas eve. Also, Sinestro!! and im pretty sure that's Power Ring.

Posted by Dud317

I wonder if this will tie in to GL. Vendetti's killing it, but I suppose if someone is going to write something that may influence that title, then Johns is the guy.

I'm pumped for some Sinestro action!

You should rename yourself as CaptainObvious

Sinestro's all Parallax'd out. Is this something recent, or could he be the Sinestro of Earth 3?

Posted by LCazT1996

It'd be cool if Hal came back but honestly if Hal came back he'd probably want to bring the Corps which would be sort of a really easy loophole for the heroes to get their own army to fight against the army of villains that have sided with the Secret Society & Crime Syndicate.

He said that because of the fact that Hal Jordan was mentioned in the article.

Why is Sinestro always shown for Forever Evil stuff? I thought he was hiding out in space somewhere after Green Lantern #20?

He becomes Parallax during wrath of the first lantern

guy and the red lanterns have kicked the greens out of 2814. if sinestro and hal show up, there will be a big battle again, and all lanterns will be kickedoff 2814, building up to the house of lanterns in twilight of the superheroes. i smell our next big crossover

Covers are always an exaggeration. So this probably translate out too: Sinestro's coming back.

Posted by Captain13

@eneguema_i: the surving member bit refers to Cyborg, not Batman. Batman is not struggling to survive.

Posted by Lvenger

I was wondering when Sinestro would come into play in this event. Johns said he would play a role in Forever Evil. Though I don't know why Sinestro would come to Earth of all places and on what business or reason he'd go there. Still I do love Sinestro so his role should be interesting at least.

Edited by Captain13

@herokiller12344: yeah, it sounds like so many things will be revealed here that sinestro may just get one or two pages, which is not a bad thing but may not warrant him on the cover

@eneguema_i: it's been announced that Hal is coming back to the jl next year. The man who is plotting revenge is cyborg as shown by future solicits.

You need just remember what ring Power Ring have. Some looking on recent Sinestro appearances will also be useful. Its very logical for him to shown in Forever Evil stuff, beacuse Power Ring or more concretly his ring shown in Forever Evil stuff, he-he.

I was thinking about this too and the only conclusion I could come up with was that Sinestro kept his promise to Hal by staying away from the corps but knowing Hal was too occupied with all the Corps stuff he decided to come to Earth and help save it FOR Hal. Since they're friends and all.

O, thats most likely will be not only about helping friend, but also for vengeance, for revenge. Dont forget that Power Ring's ring was before Flashpoint possesed by spirit of Voltoom. And who is Voltoom in post-Flashpoint univerce? He is First Lantern, Destroyer of Korugar, whose ring was "banished back into his corrupted univerce" in Green Lantern #20.

So Power Ring can hold out a Parallax powered Sinestro huh? The more you know.

Oh, I didn't even think of that! Good thinking!

The Injustice League is growing. I'm liking this!

The Injustice leagues looking tough. Don't know much about Sinestro so it would be cool if someone could fill me in on his recent shennanigans.

Posted by Mrgreenlantern

Sinestro !!! YES!!! I was wondering why he hasnt appeared in this already

Posted by Ostyo

Yay for Sinestro

Posted by War Killer

This actually makes me wonder if Hal even knows what's happening on Earth at the moment. I know he's off in space trying to rebuild the GL Corp, but you'd think he'd have some way to keep track of what's happening back home. Not to mention that with the whole GL Corp as his disposal he could be a big game changer in Forever Evil.

Very nice cover!

At first glance I thought it was Hal but then I was like "Dammit!"

Very interesting theories from both of you. This would certainly be interesting to play out.

That is definitely power ring not Hal from main Earth

Posted by ShadowHuntR

@lcazt1996: I agree with you. I do not think they will bring back Hal. He would be bringing the whole Corps and that would probably be an easy wins for most of the Lantern Corps, even if the sector belongs to the Reds now.

I wouldn't mind them at least acknowledging what's going on with Hal and the Corps (like a scene with Hal on Oa hearing about it or something).

Maybe the Reds could show up and go after them and I do think that the current Red Lanterns could be taken out by the villains. And honestly even if Hal came back and just brought along the senior guard I could see that being a problem for the Corps too. Like Hal, Kilowog, Salaak, and John basically, right?

Actually thinking about it now I think it would be ridiculous for them not to at least mention the Corps or show them in a situation and basically have it be not possible for Hal to make it back to Earth because he's so busy with the Corps or something.

I have a strong feeling they are going to depower Paralax like a B!tch.
