Exclusive Cover Reveal: JUSTICE LEAGUE #26

What could this cover mean for FOREVER EVIL?

Every once in a while, for various reasons, a completed cover doesn't make it to publisher's monthly solicits. Sometimes they contain spoilers or sometimes production tweaks are being made. JUSTICE LEAGUE #26 was an issue that did not show the final cover. DC has given us a first look at what we can expect on December 24.

Check out Ivan Reis and Joe Prado's cover.

JUSTICE LEAGUE #26

A FOREVER EVIL tie-in! Why has the Crime Syndicate really come to our Earth? What are their darkest secrets? And how will their actions fundamentally change the Justice League as we know it? Meanwhile, Grid controls the world’s power and communications, but what does he truly want from the Syndicate? Plus, a member of the League struggling to survive plots a path of return...and revenge.

Will this scene actually be in the comic? When will Hal Jordan come back to Earth to help his former teammates? And what about Sinestro? Is he coming back? He does appear to have a white streak in his hair like he did at the end of GREEN LANTERN #20 but maybe it's somehow the Earth 3 version?

Here's the black-and-white variant along with the combo-pack version.

I was thinking about this too and the only conclusion I could come up with was that Sinestro kept his promise to Hal by staying away from the corps but knowing Hal was too occupied with all the Corps stuff he decided to come to Earth and help save it FOR Hal. Since they're friends and all.

O, thats most likely will be not only about helping friend, but also for vengeance, for revenge. Dont forget that Power Ring's ring was before Flashpoint possesed by spirit of Voltoom. And who is Voltoom in post-Flashpoint univerce? He is First Lantern, Destroyer of Korugar, whose ring was "banished back into his corrupted univerce" in Green Lantern #20.

Oh, I didn't even think of that! Good thinking!

Very interesting theories from both of you. This would certainly be interesting to play out.

I always figured that Sinestro's return would have something more to do with the Korugarians that were still alive (Green Lantern 23.4), but maybe Sinestro saving the Earth will draw them out ?

Maybe that's a good version of Sinestro from Earth 3? He could be the guy in the hood the Syndicate have captive? Bit of a long shot.

@patrat18: They'll either de-power him, or, make the CSA stronger than their previous incarnations like they did with Ultraman. Either way it'll be necessary for the CS to be stronger as they are after all, the villains of this story.

I'm rather sure that's Power Ring due to the emblem on his chest and the aura around his arm.

No duh.

Um, where does it say that Hal Jordan is coming back to Earth? I think the "surviving member" is Batman... Wonder how Sinestro ties into this.

It doesn't say he's coming back?

There are Korugarians still alive? I've been out of the loop for this. I hope this is the real Sinestro and not an Earth 3 version that might get his ass handed to him.

This cover is insane, I wonder why they scrapped it I mean I feel sorry for Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, that must have taken ages

Come forth Sinestrooo

I'm calling massive PIS if Power Ring beats Sinestro. I know Geoff wants to establish the CS as powerful villians, but I would just hate seeing are villians getting stomped. Anyone remember mouth crush BA.

Though they could use the excuse that the reservoir's drained or sth.

@super_phil: This cover wasn't scrapped. It wasn't finished yet at the time of the solicitations so they used a place-holder image; this is the reveal of the finalized cover. So this is indeed the one we will be seeing come December 24.

batman becomes a member of the sinestro corps to bash power ring's head in

Edited by ColaNicole

@kazekaine1: Or Sinestro gets his ass kicked and gives his ring to Batman as opposed to his joining the corp.
