I usually really like Stephane Roux. This not so much.

I do not like what they have done with this character in the New 52, hopefully this will turn things around.

Kinda excited for this. Hope they retcon some of her New 52 history though. Also I kinda like the why they drew Scarecrow on this cover.

I wonder why they decided to start with a #0 instead of jumping right to the first issue?

This book is going to fail miserably.

The only reason why people will pick this up is because they are a fan of the character OR Speculators will buy up the first issues so they can sell them on EBay later on after it fails because usually Harley Quinn key issues always sell at a high price

I understand the DC wants to update the look of Harley.
I get it.
I thought it was pretty cool that they wanted to make her more of a serious stand-alone threat. The costumes ;however, just seem to get worse and worse. Harley's base character was a fan-girl of the Joker and a flirt. She is not a leave nothing to the imagination kinda girl or a seductress. They need to find a happy medium between fun & playful and kickass & gadget user. I do understand that's a tall order, but I dont think they(DC) know what they're looking for anymore in a design for her.

In Ales Kot's suicide squad she finally had pants again. Why did they change it back to this? Gigantic socks and panties shorts just looks stupid.

Well I understand Harley is ~40 (since her daughter look 20 in Catwomen) but this face \ makeup is so wrong. She is like old lady here.

On a side-note: Love Bizarro. Never knew that he looks away from things that catch his interest. That puts all of his previous fights with Superman in a whole new and hilarious context. :D

I love Harley but I have to admit I hate this costume. Same with Roux, love his art and what he did on Zatanna, but this is "eh?". Go with the Arkham City one, it's both sexy-hot and makes her look like a badass.

And time for Joker to get his face back. The "tied-on" face is tired and needs to go away.

Just by this art alone, Harley Quinn is going in a very weird direction. Why is she so tan? Why does she have a man's face with weird makeup? It's not clown makeup, it's just weird. Why is she doing a Molly Cyrus tongue out pose? Poor HQ, you never have got the treatment you deserve. You're original character on the old Batman cartoon was awesome, now you've become....this. Every young girl star has to go through this weird stage where they fall apart. Madonna, Whitney Huston, Britney Spears, Christina Agulera, Molly Cyrus, and now.... Harley Quinn. I had high hopes for you kid, sorry it came to this.

Or it will do well because Jimmy Palmiotti is writing and Amanda Connor is on art. The character doesn't make a book good or bad, the creative team does.

This won't be a top selling book, but it will do well, as long as the creative team stays the same or someone comparable jumps on.

I gotta say I'm loving how Darkseid, who is totally out of her league, may be in this.

@inferiorego: I doubt it, and also not trying to say you're WRONG but having a great creative team on a horrid character isn't necessarily going to make it great.

Also how has Geoff johns and Ivan Reis Justice League been for the majority of it's run?

sometimes great creative teams just cannot get great grasp on the character's there writing about.

plus Harley Quinn has always been the side character to a side character. without Joker and batman to play off of she is going to lose her charm.

If she has the right supporting cast in this book to play off of then it will be mildly entertaining

Harley Quinns best book will always be Gotham Sirens, im kinda hoping they bring that back eventually.


OR just have Paul Dini come back and write this book.

Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this book, im just positive I won't, but heck ill give it a try if i have have the extra $3 to spare. for the zero issue.

@comicvine_is_jericho: The last Harley series had a pretty respectable run it lasted over 30 issues. I think this book if they keep the fun that the Powergirl series had I see no reason why this can not make it. If they go for the super dark gritty nonsense that Kindt is doing with Harley it will be cancelled before it hits issue 15.

I'm really not feeling this cover (she looks like a man, and why in the world is she so freaken tan!?!), but I really can't wait for her new comic. I love the darker direction the Suicide Squad took with her. She has way more layers to her, especially with this boarder line multiple personality disorder she is developing. I think the crazier and darker they make her the deeper and longer her comic will last. She was great as jokers sidekick but that goofy fun personality wont produce the sales as a darker path traveled.
