Let's be honest, we all love a really cool homage cover. It's especially nice when the cover has something to do with what's going on inside the comic and not just done for the sake doing an homage.
There's been a lot of buzz around Deathlok recently. He has been showing up in the Marvel comics from time to time and he's getting ready to make a big impact on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Check out Francesco Mattina's cover to AVENGERS UNDERCOVER #6.
That's Death Locket there on the cover, targeting Captain America. It might look a little familiar to you. First, here's the official synopsis:

You can see that the cover does fit the comic. As for the homage, this comes from one of the very first back issues of CAPTAIN AMERICA I ever bought, featuring a very cool two-part story with Deathlok, CAPTAIN AMERICA #286.
I have to say, I love it.
