Erik Larsen's Greatest Comic Book Cover, WonderCon Exclusive

Savage Dragon #145 gets an exclusive cover.

Issue #145 of Erik Larsen's "Savage Dragon" came out today with President Obama on the cover.  It's just been announced that there will be an exclusive cover for this issue at this weekend's WonderCon in San Francisco.
"I had no idea what I was getting into, but the moment I finished the cover I told myself: 'Erik, you just created the greatest comic book cover of all time' and it turns out I was totally right," Erik Larsen said. "Lets face it, President Barack Obama punching out Osama Bin Laden with a huge American flag in one hand while Savage Dragon frees Lady Liberty from a Weapon of Mass Destruction is as good as it's ever going to get."

The exclusive will be limited to 1000 copies.  It is said that it will never be reprinted.  I have to say, I do like the battered old-timey feel of the cover.

I sent a PM to G-man, not sure if you got it.

About this cover : I personally hate this cover. It seems way too cheesey and too over the top for my taste atleast

It's so tasteful.  This is bound to sell out and have multiple reprints.... when the flying piggies are having snowball fights in hades.

This is the greatest comic cover in the history of the medium. I must somehow get my grubby little hands on it...

Anyone think maybe Erik's just trying to get back at Marvel for "ripping off his Obama idea"?

I see it more as a tribute to WWII era comics than revenge.
