The first thing I would do if I was transported to Mars is try to find a way to stay cool. :) If I found a water-way like the movie I would probably find someway to live underwater. I would use my powers to gain the trust and confidence of both Martian races. To bring them together in peace. Working together with Earth bringing a new galatic harmony to Mars, Earth, and beyond. I would probably stay on Mars. How could I leave Woola behind.

If I found myself on Mars suddenly, I would fight whomever and whatever to get back home. I have kids and I wouldn't let any number of gigantic white apes stop me from getting back to them.

Now if I were a single man with no responsibilities tying me to Earth, I'm sure my answer would be more like this:

Finding myself on Mars with new Superman-like physical abilities, I would begin by making allies with the weak by serving as their protector. I would fight for the honor of Dejah Thoris' hand and win her heart. I would bring peace to Mars and seal my reign down with an iron fist. With the Warlords defeated/destroyed at my hands, I could bring Mars into a utopian state, bringing together rival tribes and bitter enemies to share 2 common purposes: peace and servitude.

Under my rule, I would bring the best qualities of Earth to Mars and leave behind the things that bring us down. This would of course mean not opening the gateway to other humans. Such power tends to corrupt and the last thing I would want is a rival of the same level of abilities as myself. I would accept Mars as my home and would rarely, if ever come back to Earth.

But as I said... I have kids and so far that's been much more of an adventure anway...

I would use my powers to rip off Thern technology. I would then use it on earth (it does not matter what time period). I'm pretty sure that blue stuff could cure cancer or make videogames cooler. I would try to stay away from the war but would eventually fight for the good guys just like in the movie.

I would definitely explore the the planet. I'm very curious to see what I might uncover on the "Red Planet." It would be diffucult stand idle and do nothing if there is a war and I can do something about it. I never thought of being the type of person who would use powers for personal gain. I would use my powers to help others. If i had a life on Earth worth returning to, I would go back home. If not, Mars would be my new home.

I would steal back all our abducted women...

I would do what I can for those in need. (Especially if it involves leaping tall White Apes in a single bound.)

Rally/Unite the population of mars, develop the ninth ray power, and go on to battle the Thern.

I would use my powers to fight the good fight. then find a way home only to bring my family back to mars and establish our home there. this would allow me to write books of our adventures have them published on earth and be the next big thing in books and movies since harry potter.

I force them to make me their king.

I would fight the princesses war and hope for her as the reward.

I would fight in the war, and every battle would start by me saying "By the power of Greyskull, I Have the Power!" yeah, that sounds about right.

@G-Man: My first thoughts after landing on Mars would be "holy cow that was a long ride!" Once I'm there, I'd help in the war (I'm not a cold blooded person) and then I'd use my powers for personal gains by finding a way to bring the powers back with me and become a superhero on Earth. Plus, I would miss my family and friends.

I would help Dejah to stabilize Mars and make a Wonderful life there.

If I was transported to Mars, I would definitely give my all to help the helpless in the war, while also enjoying the close(r)-proximity to the sun and working on my tan. After the war ended, I would be a simple farmer and enjoy my life in a new culture, while living out my days watching the Earth from the night sky of another world.

World domination has always been an ambition of mine and taking over Mars would be a great first step.

So here's the plan: 1) Take over Mars. 2) Combine technology from Mars with tech from Earth. 3) Return to earth with an army of angry martians. 4) Sit on a beach somewhere, since I'll own all of them, sip some sort of fruity cocktail with a little umbrella through a curly straw, and watch the sun set over my ocean.

I would use my powers to make sure that I was getting all of the comic publications from earth because I would miss comics and accompanying that weekly shipment of comics would be gallons Arnold Palmer Half Iced Tea & Half Lemonade.so that I could sip my favorite frosty beverage while reading Earth's greatest entertainment! I would also figure out a way to get internet from earth that way I could email my mom & still post chit to Comic Vine, Deviant Art  and the Rob Liefeld Boards, because I would miss the internet. 
 
Thus having introduced the Martian culture to Earth's greatest form of entertainment I would make Ba-Jillion's in Martian currency after opening the only Comic Book & Hobby Collectables Shop on the planet and what ever bone rending and flesh tearing war would end abruptly giving way to, the newly frustrating, internet based flame wars and our solar system would know unending peace and creative prosperity.  

And finally, I would ask DeJa Thoris to do the Hokey Pokey and spin herself around because that's what it's all about!
I'd bet she's do it too :D
 
The End

I would start my own line of trampolines and use infomercials to promote them. I would end up tricking all the martians into buying my prototypes up. They would see how much of a boss at jumping I am and would be driven to purchase my "earth bouncers". Sigh....The exploitation and exportation of capitalism.... Either that or fight for justice. One side or the other lol.

I would build a society on Mars. This is assuming there isn't already one, of course. What better way to earn the title of "ruler of Mars" than to actually start something good on that floating rock? I mean, I guess by being the first person there (again, assuming) it would be easy to just declare Mars mine, but maybe I should let others be better off by setting up a "second world" for the human race.

I would become the Martian Batman

I'd become the greatest athlete Mars has ever known

After I have become ruler of Mars by Marrying Dejah Thoris and squashing the other War Lords of Mars, I would begin work to establish a colony of Earthlings on Mars in hopes to begin work on an emergency evacuation plan if Earth were to ever be threaten. Nothing like having an Ace in the Hole. Actually really just Marrying Dejah Thoris would be enough for me everything else would just be icing.

After jumping around like an idiot for a few hours? I have no idea.

I would use my powers and try to become an ambassador of a sort for human kind and work with the red men to try to establish contact with mankind! and then our two races could work together and eventually become space faring races. or perhaps our two races would eventually interbreed into one race? Who knows!

I would use them to fly or at least run great distances quickly!

0.0 This one's a tough one. I would try to get back home only to get stuck in a war on Mars! And then to have powers! I don't know what I would do with powers but I'd fight in the war only to get home and crawl back into bed! XD lol

I would get involved in the war and do everything I could to see the villains make restitution for what they did. Would I go back to Earth? I am not sure I guess that would depend on my experiences on Mars and if the return to Earth would be permanent. If I could go back and forth at will then I would like to come back and see if things such as extra food and technology could be acquired to take back to mars to help make things better. Maybe broker a regular trade agreement with some of Earth's farmers.

I would see how many far I could get around the planet in a single jump. I don't know why, but that jumping ability just does it for me lol. The movie even makes it look better than flying!

Step 1: I would bring a old Sony tape walkman with a single of house of pain's jump around in it, and I would, you guessed it, JUMP AROUND!!!!

Step 2: I would watch the princess from a far to get to know her interests, likes, dislikes and then ask her out on a "moon date" bringing up similar interests, likes dislikes, then obviously she would fall in love with me.Then after we are both madly in love, either my best friend or her old love interest would expose my devious method of courting, and she would leave me.

Step 3: Mario style, I would attempt to princess back!!

Step 4: Once the Princess is back by my side and I was now a more humble man, I would be shot back to earth against my will and I would put a bunch of strings up on a big cork board on a wall linking to different areas of the world. Everyone would think it was to somehow help me get back to the princess in mars, but really it was just because earth made me crazy!!

I would probably try to make my way back to Earth. I don't dream of saving another planet or people. I'm selfish like that lol.

I'd drag Macgyver with me cuz I'd have no idea what to do=P

First things first - woo a Princess of Mars!

Find another Martian chick to be with so I don't have to fight wars.

For me it depends on the condition mars is in is here a totalitarian rule? Is there a democracy? Either way I'd stay hidden for a while observing he habitants and learn to adapt to their culture, make friends with the natives, and if there is something I don't see right I'll rebel against it. I would fight for freedom when it is needed, I would slay rulers that abuse their power, I would liberate the enslaved. Or I'd just start a new life, gets easier each time.

I would help save the planet mars & fight the war & reaturn to earth to help the world with my new found power for a grater good to solve mand kind

I would play leap frog with my friends, then breed those fast dog-like creatures.

I would do nothing. Who am I to interfere in martian politics?

I would try anything to get back to my Wife, Children and Loved ones.

I would build a shield around the entire planet that would give it a green hue. Because I'm tired of red.

I would also fight crime.

I'd conquer the planet, but be a peaceful warlord (if that's at all possible).

I would do what John Carter did! Duh!

I would use my powers to fight evil Michael Ironside and create an breathable atmosphere for all the mutants on Mars.

And if someone else has already referenced that movie...Then I'd go into a rage and use my powers to murder everyone. Including evil Michael Ironside. Especially him. Or at least disarm him. Okay. I'll stop now. I promise.

I'd fight because they obviously need my help and you're no hero if you walk away or turn on them.

I would use my ability to jump on enemies Super Mario style and save the Princess!

I would probably just jump around constantly all hulk style because of the low gravity. I think that would be freaking awesome.

I would bring peace to Mars, and return home to earth to do the same. After galactic peace is assured, I'll put my efforts towards personal gain.

I'm new to Comic vine plus i live in Canada that but i would like to answer this. unlike other posts i am going to tell you the truth if i was transported to mars i will freak out get scared and then kill myself :O

If i was transported to mars i would fight in the war and use my powers to fight for the sidei belive should win i would have no personal gain intentionally then i would leave mars if there was a way to go back to earth if there was'nt then i would stay on mars and make sure there is'nt any more conflict.
