Electro Will Take Peter Parker to the ENDS OF THE EARTH in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

It's just getting worse and worse for Spider-Man.

Yesterday we saw a teaser for the upcoming arc 'Ends of the Earth' in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. Doc Ock is ready to get his final revenge against Spider-Man and he's not going to do it alone. Today, Marvel has released another teaser. This one features Electro.

Looks like we might be seeing the return of the old "Parker Luck."

The next big Spider-Man epic begins in Amazing Spider-Man #682, part one of Ends Of The Earth, by Dan Slott and Stefano Caselli! The Sinister Six, led by the vengeful Doctor Octopus, is back and they’re looking for revenge!

“Max Dillon has evolved from a simple super villain to a living force of nature,” explains Slott. “How can anyone stop power incarnate?”

Can Spider-Man & Earth’s Mightiest save the world before Doc Ock’s explosive endgame is revealed? Find in Amazing Spider-Man #682 hitting comic shops and the Marvel Comics app this March!

getting exited for this, I'm always very sceptical when it comes to events but character centric events are usually not that bad and Dan Slott hasn't let me down yet.

I love Del'Otto's covers. Anyway, bring on the Sinister Six! I can't wait.

I don't read Spider-man and I didn't plan on starting, but I am hearing Dan Slott's name enough to be very curious.

Gauntlet 2.0?

I still don't really like the lightning bolt suspenders look on Electro, but I'm glad to see the Sinister Six being a real threat once again.

Once again this really is having a ring of "RIP" to it for some reason, at least to me. I love the art though.

Looks like Spidey dead already.

Well Doc Ock is going to kick the bucket

Oh god, this gets even better! Sinister Six vs. Spider-man. The prize? The Earth! I mean, Slott has proven to be maybe the best Spider-writer (some might think JMS as a better one), the art is gonna be gorgeous and the covers look magnificent.

I love the covers!!

Incredible art. OK looks like Spider-Man is actually getting a much deserved better direction in terms of the stories. It is late to say but I am glad Electro had his costume and overall character changed a bit. Spidey is getting some challenges thrown at him now!

Looking for a jumping on point, this could easily be it.

Spidey always seems to be going from one event to another...

I hope this guy gets a rest soon! Maybe the next event could be... 'Spider-Man Goes on Holiday!'

However, knowing his luck, something might happen.

Posted by SexualLobster

I hope to see Spidey cut loose and maybe 'waste' a bad guy or two because of the severity of his mission.

@spiderbat87: I agree I am usually skepical about events also ,but I trust Dan Slott to do a great job with this story arc. We will have to cross our fingers and hope for the best

No, Guantlet was a series of story arcs that led up to Grim Hunt. Ends Of The Earth is one, big story arc that happens to carry on from plot threads in Guantlet left off.

Electro looks awesome

Edited by SpidermanWins

As many have said, Electro looks way better now. Now all he needs is to have a bit of focus and he'll be the bad@$$ he should be. This is the kind of Electro I could see in a movie (I want him to be a villain for an Amazing SM sequel) kind of like how they made Bullseye be (no mask but his cool tatoo) for the Daredevil movie.

Anyway, it looks good. =)

Whoa this cover looks awesome man!

I still don't like Electro costume... But thats my opinion, the cover still awesome.

This cover is even better than the one with Doc Oc.

“Max Dillon has evolved from a simple super villain to a living force of nature,” explains Slott. “How can anyone stop power incarnate?”

Peter already figured out how to both hit and beat this guy in his current form. I wonder if they'll utilize that? One tick I always notice with Spider-man books is in many he has to invent something to defeat a specific opponent or overcome an obstacle with, yet, Peter never seems to have that said solution later, nor be able to recycle it. Not that they don't read well mind you, but noting it. You would think he would have a weapons cache as well recall how he solved a problem previously.

I'm quite excited for this. Spidey is quite possibly my favorite Marvel hero, so this could be very good. And to the comment that this seems reminiscent of R.I.P. I agree with that, but to me that is a good thing as I actually enjoyed that arc.

@CombatSpoon86: I agree!
