Check out the gameplay footage from the Sony Press Conference at E3.
You're probably aware that E3 is currently underway. We're all watching what the latest video game news is. Last week it was revealed that Batman: Arkham Knight has been pushed back until 2015. It's unfortunate but I think we'd all agree that it's better to wait than to get a game that's not ready.
Today at the Sony Press Conference, a gameplay trailer was shown, revealing new gameplay footage for the game, including the Batmobile, in action. It's looking pretty impressive. Check out the five-minute trailer:

I think the tank stuff looks really cool, but I'm not sure how appropriate it is for a Batman game. I have faith in the developer though.
Eh, modern Batman uses military tech all the time. At least they handwaved it away with "the tanks are remote controlled, so you can blow them up real good without killing anyone." They made a point to say that one or two of the big ass guns on the Batmobile are supposed to be non-lethal in that little teaser video thing that they released last week.
"Again with the Joker,do someone else, already, come on....."

you can't rely and over use the Joker or else his appearances would run stale. The man had 3 games already. i think Crane deserves this time in the spotlight, i can already imagine the jacked up crap rocksteady is planning for us with Scarecrow at the helm of big villain. Or Crane could turn out to be a mere puppet and the real end game boss could be a surprise.
Oh! That's some serious downgrade. I would be really dissapointed if I wanted to play watchdogs. Why didn't they use the engine in the final product, was it so demanding?
Super-stoked. I'm still not too crazy about the armored look - it's kinda reminiscent of the TDK/New-52 costumes, and that whole armor-plating mechanical motor shtick just isn't my ideal Batman look. But everything else looks fantastic, I have absolute faith in Rocksteady. The part in this clip that struck me the most was the bit when Batman first exits the building...and gets a look at the entire city. I mean just look at that. Buildings that stretch out as far as the eye can see with all those blimps and stuff. That's Gotham.
pretty sure theyre going with the armored look because this is supposed to be an older batman, as origins, asylum and city all have taken place before.
i fond this E3 kinda disappointing, Batman and witcher look great, also stoked for last of us remastered but the lack of fallout 4 crushed my hopes and dreams

I think Arkham Knight is the real deal......Scarecrow is just a pawn.
I think the real kicker for me is how occupied the world is. I want to see people on the streets walking and driving about, getting mugged and stuff and I want the city to be filled to the brim with easter eggs and puzzles.
Not having any of this won't be a deal breaker for me, but I definitely want all of this.
It's cool to see the batmobile finally be useable but besides blowing stuff up how valuable is it really? I'd much prefer just gliding everywhere. So I hope they don't force us to keep using the batmobile with dumb things like oh tanks are blocking your way, call the batmobile.
The Scarecrow looks creepy, I bet that he is mad at Killer Croc. Overall the trailer looks amazing and then game not only looks good but is more fluid than the other games.

Gotham is supposed to be evacuated at the beginning of the game so we probably won't be seeing this. Why take innocent pedestrians out? My guess is that it'd be kind of awkward if Batman ran over random civilians by accident.
Well, the movement of Batman, whether fighting, sneaking or gliding, looks better than ever, and it's cool that they are following up on the Scarecrow hints from Arkham City, but...beyond that, I can't say that this does much for me. Driving around looked cool...but the nearly barren streets made me lose all attachment to the scenario because it's so unlike reality in a big city. I understand the tech isn't there yet, and I'm sure they will have some explanation for why nobody is outdoors, but it just breaks the illusion of immersion. More importantly, the Batmobile battle section bored me. It just didn't look...fluid. It felt like a shooting gallery where Bats had all the good toys and the enemy tanks were nigh useless.
And I'm totally anti-Iron Batman. I prefer a Bat with significantly less tech. I'm tired of the futuristic technology.
Looks great but I hope the Batmobile stuff doesn't add a GTA feel to it. I hope the layouts for the city are the same too. Or at least mentioned if they aren't.

I get the progression, I'm just saying that on an aesthetic/eye-candy level, it's not my favorite Batman look.
holy SHIT! THIS LOOKS GODLIKE! infact, the game is coming out next year so i can't even imagine how heavenly the game would look. i even heard that this game is being written by geoff johns so this would be the best game and best batman story in history. and it alos looks like joker sin't taking the spotlight so i wonder who this arkham knight guy is. i say it's jason todd.
but anyway, marvel needs to take lessons from rocksteady AND give time on their work.

They actually said that Bruce is at the peak of his abilities in this game. The reason he has the armored look is because he's basically going to war, which he kind of is seeing as how Arkham Knight is bringing his own military into Gotham.
Also did anyone notice Barbara's voice sounds different?
Yeah, that isn't Kimberly Brooks voicing Oracle there, assuming that WAS Oracle (and there's no reason not to assume that). It is possible that they're using a temporary voice track for the character and just haven't finished VO recordings yet with the full cast. We'll see.
They did recast Scarecrow from Dino Andre to John Noble (Denethor in Lord of the Rings, and Walter Bishop in Fringe), so it's clear they're willing to change up the supporting cast.
This looks so freakin' epic! I really wish I got a next gen console and I also wish that one day they will make a Superman game this great... one can dream
