It makes sense. Originally the mohawk represented a shift in her personality....And if you know anything about women, more often then not their hairstyles can be a outward representation of inner emotional turmoil.

This is going to be awesome. I am glad that Marvel is giving more female characters the spotlight with Marvel Now. Especially happy that Kitty Pryde is now the main character in about four titles. This is a great year for Shadowcat. Also really like the rooster for the team. They are all great characters. I have to pick up this series!

god this book begs for my money and Kitty needs a new costume i like the old school yellow and black But with this team they could have given her a new one

with me being an X-23 fan I don't think adding Laura for the first Arc would be good with this team maybe a little later near the end of Arena Because lets be honest we all know shes making it out of that book alive.

Brian Wood is cool and I like Copiel's art, So i'm on board for this. Not to mention it has some of my favorite Female X-men. Rogue, Psylocke, Rachael, and even Jubilee who I used to not like but recently have grown to like. I could do without Storm and Kitty though. I know people like them and Storm will help sell the book so W/e.

I agree with everyone else who said it that X-23 needs to join this team. I hope she makes it out of Avengers Arena so she can. Honestly this was a better place for her than Avengers Arena. Especially since she recently has wanted to not be a tool for killing. I do like Avengers Arena though, so I'm not complaining or anything.

Pixie will be appearing in the first issue, guyz.

Hopefully it's done in a way that the wife can take an interest - I know that for my part, I'm intrigued to the point of approaching her about reading it to see what she thinks. Interesting move from Marvel.

This sounds really cool. If I end up having the extra money I'll pick it up. I really like Wood's writing. The Massive is extremely good.

I will buy almost anything Coipel is drawing and the fact that Brian Wood only makes it better.

i I love all these characters, and I collect all xmen trades. However, this seems odd to have an all women team. Just like it would be odd to have an all men team. X-men has always been one of the comic teams that was as close to 50/50 gender split as they come. I'lll be curious to see how they write the necessity of an all women team. As of now, it feels like a pc public relations grab. The drawing is very interesting to me.

Ah fair enough, i take it she will be sporting that look in the other books too then, not really a fan of Storm anyway so it dosent really bother me, just thought it would be more interesting if she came from elsewhere and that was the reason she was on X Force lol.

Jubilee + Kitty + Psylocke = this just became the first Marvel title I will actually pick up at the store.

Is that an alternate universe version of Storm or is it the 616 version with a make over? Also, is Jubilee still a Vampire and where the heck is X23?

I'll take Dazzler over X-23, but they are both spoken for, so it doesn't really matter.

Love the roster, a majority of the team are Logans "daughters" it's too bad Laura (X-23) isn't on the team

The author has confirmed the Jubilee is still a vampire via twitter. However with the current status of the Phoenix force granting powers, I wouldn't be surprised if she got some powers besides the vampiric ones at some point.

I would also like to see X-23 at some point however she is off planet at the moment in Avenger's Arena and may not even survive that so it makes sense that she wouldn't be in the opening roster... besides which if they did then it would COMPLETELY spoil that comic.

I also have to say while some people were saying that this book should have been X-Women or XX-Men or something different... This is actually huge. They gave them the flagship X-Men name, the title series... to a team of all women and only half the team is white. Seriously, Marvel is winning the diversity battle and doing a great job.

So for people who are a bit behind

Storm and Psylocke - Same powers and will soon be leading the Uncanny X-Force. Storm is currently teaching at the school.

Jubilee - Vampire. No mutant abilities. Left with a pacifist vampire sect to learn to better control herself.

Rachel Grey - No changes known of at this time. Teaching at the school.

Rogue - Now an Avenger. Retains her mutant powers but no longer possesses the Captain Marvel abilities of flight and super-strength.

Shadowcat - Headmistress of the school. No power changes.

So storm's going to be on two all female x-men squads now (aside from puck I guess)? But I like the team here, it's some of my favorite X-Girls. I also like that even though now the team is literally completely female, they're still the X-Men.
