Deathstroke's Coming to Smallville

And check out this Supergirl vs. Lois Lane preview clip.

Now, just picture him with an eye-patch, a bandoleer and a couple swords.

Deathstroke, one of the meanest villains in the DCU, is going to be a SMALLVILLE? We’ve come a seriously long way since the random “Kryptonite-mutated citizens” that Clark and crew dealt with every week on the first season, haven’t we? IGN got the scoop (and a big thanks to real life superhero Bruce Vain bringing it to our attention) that Slade Wilson’s going to appear in this season’s ninth and eleventh episodes, respectively titled “Patriot” and “Icarus.” He’ll be played by Michael Hogan, who’s best known to genre fans from his time on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Actually, after a quick look at his filmography on Screened, I just found out that he was in THE PEANUT BUTTER SOLUTION, which has the distinction of being the freakiest after-school kids special in history.

Maybe it’s not a good idea to get into talking about a movie that weirded me out so much as a kid… but Hogan was in that.

I can’t help but note some irony that Deathstroke’s live-action debut will be in this Superman show. Anybody else remember those rumors about Anthony Michael Hall playing a mysterious “third villain” in DARK KNIGHT? The fact that there was a Deathstroke action figure included in the movie’s toyline got everybody to conclude he’d be this sometimes-Terminator. Obviously, Deathstroke didn’t end up in the movie; his inclusion in the line was on account of him being in the GOTHAM KNIGHT tie-in anime. But... I still hold out that he’d be a cool villain for BATMAN 3. == TEASER ==

Anyway, there’s also a new preview clip at SHH for this Friday’s episode of the show, which will re-introduce Supergirl. Watch the girl of steel and Lois Lane discuss super-people’s attitudes and relationships. Actually, let's imagine this is a verbal battle thread. Who do you Comic Vine maniacs figure wins the war of words, below?
