There's a lot of Deadpool lovin' these days
I have stated my return to Deadpool. I only read a handful of the Deadpool/Cable series. Both of the issues in his new series have sold out. I wonder if more people are buying it or are people falling for the variant cover gimmick? Do people have such a love for Deadpool that they feel the need to purchase both covers? This was a problem in the 90s that almost destroyed the market.
When an issue gets a reprint, are people that already own it buying this version as well? I know in the past, sometimes the reprint could actually have more value than the original due to a shorter print run. I don't think that will be the case these days. Comics aren't worth as much as they used to be. Part of that is because of the print run. Also there are more comics kept in better condition than in the 'old days.'
Either way, I hope that Daniel Way and Paco Medina keep up the great work they're doing. I'm curious about the next arc (after the Skrulls). If the quality keeps up, I'll continue reading and praising.
