Saturday, May 5 is Free Comic Book Day. This is the day you can visit your local comic shop and get some free comics. You can't get just any comic. Don't think you start grabbing any comic book off the shelves and get it for free. Special edition comics are created just for this day. Publishers reduce their costs in distributing them and comic shop owners still pay in order to get these comics for you. Be sure to support your local shop, thank them and try to buy some other stuff.
You've probably heard of the many great FREE comics coming out from most of the publishers (Archaia is even putting out a FREE hardcover!). One book that many will be searching for is the DC COMICS - THE NEW 52 FCBD EDITION. With a story by Geoff Johns and art by Jim Lee, the exclusive story will feature reveals and surprises with glimpses of what's still to come.
