DC's Infinite Crisis Game to Become a Digital Comic This Spring

DC's MOBA PC game to become a weekly digital comic.

Cover for issue #1

Big news for fans of the multiplayer online battle game (MOBA) game Infinite Crisis. Starting in May, DC will be releasing a weekly digital comic based this world and in July, it will come out in print at local comic shops everywhere. The new series will be written by Dan Abnett and will feature a bunch of different artists including Christian Duce.

The Infinite Crisis comic takes place before the start of the videogame, before the Crisis kicks into high gear and all of the heroes and villains are recruited by The Monitor to serve as Champions and battle against unseen enemies to save the Multiverse.

As in the game, characters from alternate DC Universes will be joining forces to try and stop the approaching Crisis. Prime Earth Batman will join forces with the likes of Gaslight Catwoman, Arcane Green Lantern, Atomic Wonder Woman and Nightmare Robin.

In addition to the infinite characters from the video game, Harbinger has been redesigned for the comic book series and will join new character Atomic Two-Face in the action.

The game, developed by Turbine, pits heroes against each other in player vs player battles set in the DC comics universe featuring well known heroes and villains from various DC universes.

There is no official release date yet, so stay tuned for more details as they happen, but here are some character sketches for the upcoming comic.

Dan Abnett writing the comic means that at least that will be good.

Damn, Harbinger be lookin FOOIINNNE.

Also, does atomic Two Face remind anyone else of the insectoid Two Face from the Liberty Files?

The multi-arms and big bug eye made me think ^ this is who it was until I read the Atomic part.

Pretty big publicity deals for League of Legends with DC skins.

I'm sure this won't be confusing, what with infinite crisis having already been a thing.

If injustice has taught us anything it's that this will probably be a good comic!

@2cool4fun: Defiantly, although this is clearly different than Injustice, It will still be a story about a screwed up version of the DCU, so I think it will be a very interesting book.

The DC Universe Online comic was great as well.

*Sigh* Batman as the main hero again.

Superboy prime time?

This is the only thing about the game that's gonna matter to me and it really helps that Abnett is writing it. I am really sick of Batman being the center stage though (and I'm a Batman fan).

@arturocalakayvee Didn't even know that one existed

You should check it out. It's around 25 - 30 issues. I believe it was DC's first video game to comic adaptation (but I could be wrong). Awesome series.

Will this affect the New 52?
