DC Plans 9 Films Leading Up to 2020

Why wouldnt a Shazam movie work ? The Rock is attached and hes a pretty popular box office draw. Shazam and Black Adam are cooler than superman and ??? Whoever else. People want to say DC is too gritty for Shazam or a light hearted character but people said the exact opposite with Marvel and they did a great job with Cap 2.

WB moving makes sense, Marvel had the date first. Lets hope WB can pull off a succesful universe. Wb should really give Dc its own studio.

Honestly I'm happy that now both sides will be financially successful. I just thought that picture summed up the situation perfectly, in an almost humorous way. I like both Marvel and DC, I could never pick a side.

I've seen plenty, their retarded heads don't look to any reasoning why the date moved forward.

My thoughts exactly, but so far I've only seen one person gloat about Cap 3 winning the release date battle. Everyone for the most part seems to be excited.

I could be dead by 2020 for all I know...still, exciting news, DC is finally starting something.

How about an Aquaman movie? Please?

@paul2814: I doubt that's real, especially since WB released a statement saying that they were working on 100 Bullets, and somone online said that list was extremely unrealistic.

here come Marvel Fanboys trying to bring the fun down. WB moved because it was the smartest thing to do for them. going head to head with Cap 3 would have been financial suicide for both sides. Now BvsS will make a billion instead of settling for less.

If they actually get 6 out of these 9 films out by the end of 2020 I'll be impressed. Marvel has proven now they have a good grasp on what they are doing with the films. I don't want WB/DC to feel like they need to play catchup and start shoveling out poorly planned, casted, directed movies. All I really want for them, or any comic based movie, is to be entertaining without destroying the character(s).

Please don't let all of them be Batman of Justice League related. Please God, branch out a little.

May 2016: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

July 2016: Shazam

Xmas 2016: Sandman

May 2017: Justice League

July 2017: Wonder Woman

Xmas 2017: Flash and Green Lantern Team-Up

May 2018: Man of Steel 2

What's wrong a Captain Marvel movie? No doubt the ideal choices would be Miller and Lord.

Dc/Wb blinked and move Batman v Superman out of the way Marvel Studios Captain America 3.

We already know some of these films are going to be Vertigo movies, meaning that already we're not hiving some of them connect.

We may not, keep in mind they planned a movie a few years ago, even casting the characters and picking the production staff, but it never happened.

Why the Hell didn't they annouce this at Comic-Con? Hope we don't have to wait until next Con to find out what these movies are.

the desperation continues. remember when sony announced so many movies and after asm2 kinda bombed they sorta cancelled the sinister six movie?

@captainmarvel4ever: I'm all for DC making movies that don't connect, I just hope they aren't intended for these dates. A universe needs to be built, and 2 movies a year would be very nice, but for example having the August 2016 and June 2017 dates as non connected films would just be a kick in the teeth.

And it's looking very likely that a Captain Marvel movie will be made, unfortunately.

Also I really wanted Batman v. Superman on the same day as cap 3. The fanboys would have gone bananas

Lets see Justice League, Batman, Batman 2, Batman 3, Nightwing, Batman vs Superman 2, MOS 2, MOS 3, some other DC movie that WB has little to no confidence in. There are my predictions.

Wow, that's roughly in a four year span, DC are really trying to make up for lost time.

I wonder if it's like Marvel's where the last date is usually the team's (JL) sequel. If so, that's a lot of solos and I'd approve.

@paul2814: If they did make a Captain Marvel movie (which I hope they don't) I would at least want it not to connect. Look at Thor, they had to take away a lot of the Sword and Sorcery to make that film work. Sometimes it's better for some films not to connect.

This is always the most boring news. "Hey, WB will release movies with DC characters over the next 6 years." Cool.

Please for the love of god NO CAPTAIN MARVEL MOVIE! It would be a complete train wreck with so many things that could go wrong. Make a Captain Atom movie, a Hawkman movie, or a Cyborg movie. Any of those would be awesome.
