DC Nation news continued

What's in store for DC?

On the panel were Dan DiDio, Judd Winick, Keith Giffen, Geoff Johns, Ethan Van Sciver, Jann Jones, James Robinson, Greg Rucka, Peter Tomasi and Bill Willingham.

I've already mentioned Kevin Smith doing a Batman mini-series.

Geoff Johns and Ethan Van Sciver are excited about their upcoming Flash: Rebirth (with Barry Allen).  They want to do with the Flash what they did for Green Lantern.  When asked when we'll see any other 'colored' Lantern Corps, Geoff responded that we'll see the Indigo Lanterns in April or May before Blackest Night.  Towards the end, Geoff was also asked if he'll be staying on Green Lantern after Blackest Night and he said yes.  Oh and when asked, he also stated that Arkillo (from the Sinestro Corps) will be back and he'll be mad.

Not a whole lot was mentioned about Batman R.I.P. other than it should be wrapping up in November.  A fan made the accusation that Dan would put Dick Grayson in the Bat-suit just so he could kill him.  Dan also suggested that perhaps R.I.P stands for "Replacement Is Possible."

As far as the disappointment in Catwoman getting canceled, Dan mentioned that she will be playing a bigger role in the Batman comics, more likely Detective Comics.

Greg Rucka was asked where has Batwoman been all this time.  After a slight pause, he simple said, "Gotham."  He followed by saying to ask him again in 3 or 4 weeks.

Will Ted Kord be brought back to life?  Dan said his death was too important.

Another fan asked if all the deaths would stop.  Geoff joked that he needs more Black Lanterns.

James Robinson feels the Jack Knight Starman is done.  He's happy with what he did and doesn't want to bring him back.

It was mentioned that they want to give Supergirl a bigger Rogues Gallery.  Reactron and Silver Banshee will be a couple.  As for the mess Kara has been lately, we were promised that "Kara will know who she is by issue #34 (page 4)."

There will be another Final Crisis book titled "Resist" with Ryan Sook doing interiors.

There's no plans to bring back Lord Havok and the Extremists any time soon.

Zatanna will get a new series next year (it wasn't clear whether it'd be an on-going or a mini).

The footnotes in the comics (informing readers when a mentioned event happened) may be slowly coming back.

A couple of Elseworld books are in the works.
