DC Nation Animated Short Preview - Wonder Woman

Seriously, this is pretty dang cool.

Looks like DC Nation is back Saturday mornings with new animated shorts. Beware the Batman is set to debut on Cartoon Network Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 a.m. PT/ET. During the show, in a commercial break, you'll be able to check out the latest short featuring Wonder Woman.

Watch the video above if you haven't already. It's written and directed by Robert Valley. And check out these additional images.

Who, besides me, wants more of this?

Am I the only one that completely loves this?

This is cool. Was wondering if they were going to ever do a short for Wonder Woman. I love this a short. Wouldn't like it for a full cartoon though.

That/s different.

A year from now we will either be singing this animations' praises or cursing it when the show is canceled.

They Disneyed it up. And it's not even from Marvel.

Wow wow, this is bs considering how Marvel Heroes are going to be featured in Phineas and Ferb.

This isn't a new show.

@darkknightdetective: good heavens.....I can't even gauge my own reaction.... I don't know if this is a good idea or a bad idea. It's certainly not Earth's mightiest heroes and I haven't watched Phineas and Ferb in years

@lvenger: Not sure why you included a youtube clip from another site when the same video is at the top of the page (and on OUR youtube channel)...

I am unable to see the video at the top, I can only see youtube videos. Saved me time, rather than having to go you the comicvine youtube page.

Funny, I thought it was Tomb Raider at first glance. O.o

@g_man - So this is what @babs is up to now that she's left CV LOL

The should animate a series with this style , or perhaps a wonder woman series :P just sayin.

Edited by cc1738

You have to be kidding me. This is NOT wonder woman.

Wooooh, well well, well, well!

Reminds me of the dukes of Hazard

Uhh. Hmm. Don't really know what to think. Pretty weird.

Posted by SCORPIO_CASSADINE

That was DOPE! I'm a WW purist, but I'd totally get behind that version!

Posted by Crimsonlord53

Cool.

Wait a minute what the ......

Now I'm all confused.

Posted by Jonny_Anonymous

@cc1738: calm down it's just a short

Posted by Bobsjonjon

CN will find a way to ruin it

Posted by Sporedust

Hmm... I hate it... Yet I love it

Posted by Bud_El

ummm I don't like this. Especially not the animation. They don't need to make WW more "Rad". If DC would just give her the kind of exposure Superman or Batman or the GL gets, she'd be one of the most popular ppl in pop culture!!!! And for the love of God... a girl's boobs do not have to be bigger than her head FOR HER TO BE ATTRACTIVE!!!!! The Injustice version of WW looks like a DUDE!!! This one makes her look like a teenage chola!!! DC must stop trying to compete w Marvel!! Marvel attracts a different crowd!! Stay true to your fans DC!! true to the fans!

Edited by dshipp17

I love that clip but I think they should have shown her more as sort of floating, although she's in a invisible car. Maybe because this is airing on the cartoon network, but maybe DC may want to request that Wonder Woman become apart of Adult Swim.

Woot ... the Invisible Jet lives on !

I don't like it

Posted by TheAuroraChild

The animation is sleek but lazy.

Edited by WDW

The art and animation is cool

BUT

Seriously this looks simply like a teenage fan girl doing her best to play wonder woman. Not the actual Wonder woman. Maybe the rest of it will be better

ewwww.....

Posted by trebean

Anyone here reminded of the Batman of Hongkong?

Posted by Kelevra216

... mmm.

I like the art style but... mmm.

Posted by MadeinBangladesh

Awesome!!!! LOL are people actually hating on this?

Now I have to start watching the shorts

This looks fantastic and really fun. I really don't understand all the naysayers, it's an animated short -- just a bit of fun, not a revamp of the character itself. Calm down.

I agree but I guess the issue people are having is that Wonder Woman is so underutilized by DC and Warner Bros that when they finally do throw Wonder Woman fans a scrap of something its hyper scrutinized.

Personally I think if it had to be done they should have gone after something less stylized and more recognizable and save this kind of stuff for later when DC takes Wonder Woman development a bit more serious.

That's fair. I can understand that mindset because even I am kind of annoyed Wonder Woman gets so little effort sent her way. However, maybe it's little things like this that they are throwing out there to gauge just how much of an interest is out there?

Nah, who am I kidding. I can't understand why there aren't some big names taking up the challenge of creating a fantastic Wonder Woman film. She is the most recognized female hero (and oldest) and all I am hearing is how other lesser known characters are getting focus. **sigh**

@lykopis:

Yeah it sucks it has to be this way..... Wonder Woman just has to get her foot in the door.

Posted by joshmightbe

Its good for a short but I wouldn't want to see a show this way.

Posted by M1cAL

DOPE! love the animation & style, no complaints here.

Posted by jointron33

@m1cal: what animu is that from

Posted by Miss_Garrick

eh.

Posted by Perfect 10

loved it and wished it was an animated series

Posted by flazam
Posted by judasnixon

I wish this was a cartoon show and not a short..... The DC shorts are so much cooler than their actual shows. I could give a crap less about Young Justice or Green Lantern..... Give me some mother F-ing Animal-Man and Super Best Friends Forever.....

Posted by telepathic666

this would be interesting to see more of. maybe it evolve into something more
