DC Comics November 2014 Theme Month Variant Covers Revealed

How is everyone ignoring the obvious? When do we get legos that can actually pose like this? Lego needs to step-up their game.

These covers are really cute. I love themed variants. Hope they do a 'pulp heroes' theme like one of those themed annuals they did back in the 90s, but better.

I'm also surprised that there's no Green Arrow variant; he was in the portable version of Lego Batman 2 as a playable character.

@avenging_x_bolt: I'm usually very positive about DC, but until we see a good change from management, we're stuck with the curse of too much Batman.

Never mind. you obviously refuse to accept any kind of positive outcome and that DC could possibly ever branch out one day once a characters proven its success. Im sorry for wasting both of our time by trying to be positive.

I agree but youre making it sound like DC is never going to do anything for their non Batman characters whatsoever and that is a blatant exaggeration.

there are problems with nearly every company. Im not saying DC is perfect but i think youre blowing this specific matter out of proportion and being overly negative..and yes the variants do look quite nice.

@avenging_x_bolt: That's all fine and dandy, but it doesn't change the fact that there is still a problem with DC. However we've been going back and forth for a while now, so let's just stop and agree these Lego variants look nice.

and to be fair, just because the other heroes dont have solo sets doesnt mean that "nothing is being done with them". Having non-batman characters included in a non Batman set is a hell of a lot better than not having any non Batman characters at all. im quite happy with my Lego Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Superman and Martian Manhunter and will be quite happy to pick up my Lego Plastic Man when the game comes out in November as well as my Lego GL set next year and the Green Arrow and Shazam Legos when they are finally released to the public.

Thas the thing, GL's movie was what prevented him from getting anything in the first place. retailers simply wouldnt order anything Hal Jordan related. The other DC characters dont have those strikes against them.

@avenging_x_bolt: Sad to say, but I really doubt it. I just don't see WB having that much confidence in their characters/franchises. If GL can get a movie and cartoon, and still get nothing, then I don't see WB doing squat for their non Batman characters.

@captainmarvel4ever: to be fair, those characters are only the ones who are being featured in their cartoons/movies. Once DC can successfully push other franchises then we should be seeing new sets that don't involve Batman.

@avenging_x_bolt: Meanwhile Marvel gives us good Lego sets with a diverse range of characters. Once again, Sigh....

@captainmarvel4ever: Green Lantern merchandise stopped selling for a while after the movie. Plus DC likes to attach everything to Batman cuz he makes the monies

@captain13: it was pretty obvious he was gonna make the cut IMO but it's good that you're happy : D. As for the background, it looks like several other covers have mismatched backgrounds. Maybe their pages straight from the issue.

@avenging_x_bolt: Sigh... I guess. Still I can't help but wonder why we never got a GL set or a Teen Titans set when Green Lantern TAS and Young Justice were on air. Marvel made Lego sets for their shows.

These are pretty cool. DC has been killing it with both their standard and variant covers lately. Today in the comic shop I really had to take some time and pause when determining which cover to get for both Grayson #2 and Wonder Woman #33. It's very rare that happens these days.

I like the artwork for the Supergirl one , behind the actual Lego artwork. She is actually smiling is the world ending or something?

I know, I really want a Lego Stargirl :)

Also it would have been really nice to get a Green Arrow cover

That's what I was thinking, I wish DC would actually make some non Batman Lego sets so we can get characters like that.

@tommythehitman: I don't see why he wouldn't be. They found a way to make Hawkeye work in Lego Marvel and Green Arrow is one of DC's main heroes.

So Beast Boy, John Stewart, Stargirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, & Frankenstein are all confirmed for Lego Batman three? Cool.

I'm happy John Stewart made the cut. Too bad the background of his cover features Guy's origin.
