@iaconpoint: @lvenger: @saren: ...ok,ok..ok..i was wrong. I have just read the part regarding the plot, have i made a poor showing,haven't i? =P

However...now Superman can be damaged by a simply nuke in Superman/Wonderwoman?Just like Superman in "batman: the dark knight return" of Frank miller?

(and why the hell we still don't get a Shazam or a Martian Manhunter or a Wildcats ongoing?)

@zandalf: I was thinking the same thing with the nuke. The cover is probably an over exaggeration, something common among DC comics. I think it just sounds good. Also, it might be something like a Super nuke or maybe have Kryptonite in it, if it was intended for him. Something silly like that.

yes i was thinking about the nuke too and the answer is probably the one said by colanicole. Zod is a formidable tactician so it is probable he will try to depower Superman in a way or another, since that is the easiest way to ensure the victory. If you have seen the cover you can also notice that wonder woman is in a perfect shape: so or she hasn't take the blast or she is trying to save Superman from the nuke since he will surely die in that state.

Lots of cool stuff here!

I'm sad to see Suicide Squad go. I really liked that series.

I don't read Nightwing, but I don't want him to die.

I'm gonna give the new Justice League book a shot, but I dunno if I'll keep it.

One thing I don't get is why is Nocenti still on Catwoman? Does that book sell that well? It must be the awesome Dodson covers or something. I'd really love to read something good with Selina. Now that JLA is done I have to hope that she has some stories in the batman weekly.

Overall though I'm excited for April's DC offerings and to see whats in store for May!

I was very surprised to hear that Superman Unchained is about to end that month. I wasn't expected it to end so soon. Darn. I probably will go back and buy Batman/Superman from the beginning. I'm more on Marvel's side than DC, however I've been thinking lately that I'd like to explore DC world. Many of DC characters, admittedly, are not looking appeal to me other than Superman and Batman. So I think I'm going to start with new Batman/Superman. Does anyone enjoy reading that series?

maybe with the concurrent cancelations of nightwing and teen titans we'll see a new identity for dick grayson after some time off (recovery?) and a not-nightwing-but still grayson run titan's-like team? ok no more theories from me, time to play wait and see

@silverpool: Me, too! I feel like that is one thing that is seriously getting overlooked with all of the shakeups at DC. They've made a lot of terrible choices since the beginning of the New 52, especially with creative teams, but this is a great and exciting move!

My theory is that the Crime syndicate will get send back to Earth-3 and Nightwing will get sent back with them. That would be way more unexpected and surprising than another Robin dying.

So Nightwing is lost in Earth-3...What will happen?

My wish is for Dick Grayson to become the Earth 3 Batman. When Bruce Wayne was gone after Batman R.I.P, Dick Grayson earned the cowl and proved that he had what it took to be Batman.

Perhaps we'll get an Earth-3 title like Earth 2 where the Crime Syndicate will rule the desolated apocalyptic world once more.

1-Dick Grayson as Batman vs Owlman

Perhaps he finds Wally West of Earth 3 who becomes that world's Flash.

New heroes joins him later

2-Dick Grayson as Batman vs Owlman

The cancelled cast of Teen Titans going to Earth 3

Tim Drake stays on Earth Prime and becomes Batman's Red Robin

Dick Grayson could later be brought back to Earth Prime in a big story arc.

@spinningbirdcake: That was always the difference between Superman and Batman. Even before he was confirmed as the writer, Snyder said that Batman would always come first. He's as big a Batman fan as anyone and is committed to telling stories there first. With the weekly Batman: Eternal and two other independent series, he's got a lot on his plate. The ray of hope is that he and Lee have discussed plans for another Superman story.

@lvenger: Now what I wouldn't mind at all is if they decided to put Snyder on Superman, but he always made it seem like he just had a cool story he wanted to tell with Superman Unchained, and not the clear vision he seems to have for Batman.

@spinningbirdcake: I guessed that would be the case regrettably. Snyder and Lee are goldmines for DC since both have worked on their best selling books. Whilst it would have been nice if they put another creative team on board, it makes financial sense unfortunately. And people did say it would basically be a mini series in essence so you're right, it isn't surprising.

@toptom: because the solicit says "final issue" not "final issue of Snyder and Lee"?

...umm......no.

Here you are what the solicit really says:

"This is it – the extraordinary finale of Scott Snyder and Jim Lee’s Superman saga, surrounded by an epic wraparound cover! It’s a battle in the sun as Superman and Wraith accept their destinies…and Lex Luthor pulls the trigger on his ultimate weapon!"

And then underneath it: Combo pack edition: $4.99 US • FINAL ISSUE

No indication of a new creative team or shake up, DC are flat out cancelling the most popular and best selling Superman title of all.

Well considering it's the most popular and best selling Superman title because of Snyder and Lee, and they're leaving after this arc, then it makes sense to cancel it as I'm sure they know sales with likely drop significantly. They're probably making room for new titles in may. This always felt like a mini to me anyway.

I have such mixed feelings about DC right now. Do we really need another bat book? The only new series I'll probably buy is Aquaman and the Others, Justice League Unite.

Its too bad Superman:Unchained is ending. I actually dropped it because I didn't have the money to keep going, but it was still good. I guess i'll finish the series. Also it makes sense with Scott having Batman and now Wytches etc.

APRIL is gonna be a busy month

...and are you kidding me??? ZERO YEAR is still not OVER!?!?!? When is that boring-ass arc gonna end?

Same reaction here!

Nightwing cancelled, Teen Titans cancelled, Damien still dead.. I'm worried for what they can do with Wally West, and Donna Troy is still missing... It's a very bad times for a Robins and Titans fan like me.

The hype is for Batman Eternal where maybe Tim Drake can finally find is way in this unlucky new52 era.

Also, I'm glad Unchained is ending. Keeping it short and sweet was the best thing to hope for. Otherwise it would just grow fat and bland.

Not sure why people say that Superman Unchained # 9 is the last issue. It is the last issue for both jim lee and Scott Snyder but hopefully the title will continue.

Then i am sad to know that Tony Daniel won't do Superman/Wonderwoman and i really hope he won't do just that 7th issue but i'm glad to see that Scott Lobdell is still on Superman (since i think his work is slowly improving imo) and that he is working along with Charles Soule and Greg Pack to orchestrate a b-i-g return for Doomsday.

Hmm, Batman Eternal #2's notorious villain debut: Hush? Hugo Strange? Catman? Killer Moth? lol

Such a bummer to see some faces missing and to be questioning Nightwing's fate. :(

But on the bright side: Hell yes to Black Manta on the Suicide Squad, some Adam Strange, that awesome Batwoman cover, Cap Cold on the Justice League(?), and GAIL FINALLY WRITING RAGDOLL AGAIN! :)

Batman: Eternal - I am not reading any of the Bat Family books and I want to see Stephine Brown.

Justice League: United - Supergirl on a Justice League shut up take my money already. And its Jeff Lemire writing it need I say more?

Secrete Origin: - I am curios to see what they add to Kara's origin as the first two trades were her origin in the New 52.

Really excited for The Red Daughter of Krypton to begin next month are you seeing a pattern yet?

Really looking forward to the end of Forever: Evil has been such a great event over all. DC has trimmed pretty much all of the fat they just need to fire Ann Noctienti and Scott Lobdell and I will be happy.

For those wondering these are all The New 52 books that have not been canceled and have been announced. There is 40 New 52 books all up we have 12 Slots open May should be an exciting month.
