Dark X-Men's Cloak & Dagger

Marvel reveals Terry Dodson's take on the characters.

We've seen some images for Dark X-Men.  I think a common reaction is "what the heck is going on?" but perhaps with slightly different language.  Norman Osborn is a big enough jerk to try to form his own X-Men team.  They've been given the "Dark" name to reflect Norman's hand in their formation.  The question is, why are Cloak and Dagger part of this evil team?

Along with a look at Terry Dodson's sketches, Marvel has also shared some insight straight from Matt Fraction.
"They're here presented with a chance to have their reputations exonerated and their records sealed [if they join the Dark X-Men]," explains Fraction. "Osborn presents it to them as the ultimate public service, [where] they can work off their past indiscretions—[such as] Cloak's dealings with the Avengers during the [Skrull] invasion."

Leave it to Norman to blackmail members to join the team.  Fraction goes on to point out that they are not team players.  They've mainly stuck to working with only each other.  Now they have to adapt to working with a full team.  There will also be moments where they will question their place on the team.  That could be bad for Norman's plans.

We've already talked about how the Dark Avengers may not be able to fool the public for too long.  How long will the Dark X-Men stay together?
