A release date for the second season of Daredevil on Netflix has yet to be released. It's scheduled for some time in 2016. To hold us over, Netflix has released some new new images and revealed some new information to Entertainment Weekly.
The next season is said to have a faster pace and more romance. Rather than build up the story and a nemesis like Kingpin, the second season will jump into the action with the Punisher immediately being introduced. Similar to Daredevil, his mission is to clean up the streets. The difference is he'll be shooting his targets with a lot of guns rather than beat them down with his fists.
Jon Bernthal plays Frank Castle and won't have a typical costume in order for him to be able to move around New York City without attracting too much attention.
As for the romance area, Matt Murdock will be getting closer to Karen Page. As EW put it, "Daredevil season 2 will have more sex as well."
If starting up a new relationship while a gun-totting vigilante is on the streets isn't enough for Murdock to deal with, his old college girlfriend, Elektra (played by Elodie Yung), will show up as well.
