Daffy Duck Gets Cast as a Rooster on The Looney Tunes Show

There's going to be a movie based on Foghorn Leghorn (in the show) and he thinks Daffy is perfect. Bugs and Yosemite Sam are in this episode as well.

Have you had a chance to check out the new The Looney Tunes Show? The next new episode premieres tonight on Cartoon network at 8:00 pm ET/PT.

In "The Foghorn Leghorn Story," Foghorn Leghorn casts Daffy Duck as himself in a movie about his life. Sounds like trouble if you ask me. Meanwhile Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam find a potentially valuable vase buried in the backyard (they're neighbors in case you didn't know).

What makes this version of Looney Tunes different is the show is pretty much one long episode rather than the shorts the classics were comprised of. You can see from the episode description that we will have two subplots going on. There is also usually a musical interlude in the middle along with a Wile E. Coyote/Road Runner CG short at the end.

Check out the videos and images below.

Here's what happens after Daffy is cast. Like I said, things don't go too well.

And here's some images from the episode to check out.

You actually snagged me in with Daffy, but...

It's gonna be interesting to watch Looney Tune all over again but in a 'politically correct' society.

does Road Runner still go 'meep' :)

YES!! Foghorn is finally in the show!

How long has this existed?

I dunno, I still think they should just let the Looney Tunes characters be. This stuff isn't going to be as good as the classics.

Whats happened to comicvine? have we stooped so slow that this is the type of stuff we look for as news articles? gosh...

@difficlus: By giving people what they want, that means we've stooped low? We're a comic site and there is a Looney Tunes comic. Don't worry, we have plenty of news and articles. Obviously not everyone was aware of this but the page views and video views shows there's interest. Not every article will be for everyone. Just don't click if it doesn't appeal to you.

perhaps i phrased it wrong. before they used to be comic video reviews, preview theatres and even your own garage reviews. There hasn't been as much diverse activity as there was before. People used to really like the comic video reviews (its actually one of the main reasons i joined) not that you don't still do comic reviews but not like before.

one of DC's longest even (hitting it's 200 issue milestone next month) and one of the few unaffected by the relaunch

but seriously, classic Looney Tunes gets all this crap from people who can't have a laugh without everything being politically correct so I have trouble seeing how fun a modern Looney Tunes could be...although I do love me some Foghorn Leghorn, even have a stuffed toy of him somewhere

To be honest, personality-wise these characters seem kinda off.  They don't feel like they did in the old version of Looney Tunes.  Still, if the kids today enjoy them, it doesn't bother me.

I really have to agree with this. This version of Daffy has been transformed into a much less likeable character.  The characterizations of Bugs and Daffy are not quite right.

But it does bother me enough to not record the show. If it's on I may watch. But I'm not going out of my way to catch it.

I don't like the new show at all. I've watched it and its more crude and cheap comedy as opposed to the witty and smart humor the original had. Plus the characterization isn't right.

dude...foghorns voice in this blows, why didn't they get the guy that did the Geico commercial

I actually like the jokes on this show, but I have to say something about it has been driving me crazy! There is no background noise on the show! It's strictly voice and sound effects with occasional music. Other shows at least use wall to wall background music (which I also hate but not nearly as much) or what is known as "room tone" (which is basically the real life white noise we tend to filter out subconsciously) to fill the silence. It makes everything sound awkward, like its in a closet or something. I dunno, maybe it's like an uncanny valley effect for the ears.
