Could Future Movies Star Other Green Lanterns?

Throw in some Guy Gardner!
Make a GLC movie, and star Gardner and Rayner

Not sure how the people who aren't familiar with the comics would feel about that. Personally I hope we'll see more of the Earth GLs but I think Hal Jordan has to stay as well, especially if the first movie spends 40 minutes telling his origin story.

Btw, reading between the lines, those comments by Ryan Reynolds seem to indicate maybe a possiblity he could maybe step down off the Green Lantern films and pursue other venues i.e. Deadpool, etc.

And if you notice there is a difference on how he talks about Green Lantern and how he talks about Deadpool too.   He seems to have more passion playing one over the other.

that would be great.....maybe bring in the other color lanterns.  green lantern 2 would be epic with geoff johns new angle.  you could set up the 2nd film having the bad corps winning leading into the 3rd movie.  i'm geeking out over here.

I think the better way is to feature the main Green Lantern in the three movies. Then the next main Green Lantern in the next three movies. And the next. Each five of the GLs will make a total of 15 movies.

I think john would make a good lead role for a GL sequel, kyle's plot is too deeply rooted into the corps to make a movie out of it.

If the movie is really successful, I could definitely see Will Smith being offered the part of John Stewart.  He would do an excellent job and bring a huge crowd to the movie.  
But, I think they should continue with Hal and follow the War of Light storyline.

John Stewart would be a smart choice. He's easy to introduce, his background makes him very interesting, and there's a built-in audience that knows him from the cartoons.

Kilowog and Guy buddy cop film.  Hell any buddy cop film with GL's is a win win in my opinion since you're guaranteed at least two GL's. :)

I dunno. It’s kinda convoluted how there ended up being so many Human Green Lanterns anyways. I would be nice for them to introduce them, especially John Stewart, who thru the Justice League cartoons became one of my favorite Lanterns. But it would be too forced and take away from the movies. Basically, the margin for error is too high and the likelihood of them doing it right is slim to none.

Personally I think to eleviate all of this is to have a Green Lantern Corps Movie. I've always liked the 1st fews issues of GLC with Kyle, Guy, John, Sodam Yat (?), Arisia, Soranik Natu, and maybe Jade just to name a few. I would love to see the Buddy Cop interaction between Miltary style John Stewart, Cocky A-hole Guy Gardner, and all around good guy Kyle Rayner.  Their interactions among each other would be priceless.  
 
But to answer the question I honeslty think they would just continue with Hal Jordan and just introduce the others gradually.  I mean they have Parallax in the 1st movie, so who's to say that they won't go the route of using the Arc when Hal went mad in GL and introduce Kyle in the 3rd and final movie. 
 
Or the most likely way to go is to is for Sinestro to evolve over the course of the films and become the final villian in the 3rd which I would want to see more. I would love to see the fight scene between those two.

I gotta back up the Sodam Yat requests. Even if it is a cameo. Though a John Stewart movie does move me, the man goes hard.

Am I the only one who'd rather see John Stewart in a movie?

 
Not only would this really work around Ryan Reynolds (which sounds kind of silly at first but makes a bit more sense if you think about it), but also reach into the larger fanbase as well as serving as a bit of experimentation. Not everyone likes Hal Jordan the best.... I daresay John and Kyle are my favorites. If it was only Hal for three movies straight, I think people would be wanting more. Same for John, Kyle, and Guy. 
Having John would also be a good push for Star Sapphire and Katma, although I kind of hated those comics - it is what it is.

John Stewart is already in the credits for the first film,I commented on this months back. I was curious if they were going to do the bar brawl grom secret origins which they mention his name
