Contest: Win a Mimoco DC Universe USB Flash Drive

News reports begin airing that Bane is interrupting a wrestling match at a local Gotham coliseum. He defeats all the wrestlers in attendance and calls for Batman to face him in the ring. Alfred calls Bruce to inform him of what's happening in Gotham, but since he is out of town, Bruce sends word to the rest of the Justice League. Clark Kent receives a text message while typing a story for the Daily Planet and immediately heads to Gotham. When he arrives at the coliseum, he finds that the Flash is already there. In the wrestling ring, with hundreds of wrestling fans still watching, the Flash fights Bane. He lays countless punches, but Bane is juiced up on so much Venom that they have little effect on him. Superman uses his heat vision to sever the tubes that provide Bane with Venom, so he begins to weaken, allowing the Flash to finally knock him out. The crowds cheer as Superman and the Flash share the victory and the spotlight. And with cameras recording the event and airing it on TV, Bruce Wayne knows that the people of Gotham are safe even in his absence.

Superman punches the Flash into Bane. Result is a double knockout.

Superman wins.

Bane knowing his enemies are incredible in power quickly activates his Venom, increasing his strength ten fold. Flash seeing Bane do so heads for Superman, knowing he is the fastest. Flash instead of punching The Man of Steel runs past his and takes off with incredible speed. Superman sees Flash run by but before he can turn to chase The Flash he is grabbed by Bane and throw to the ground.

"I've always wanted to break the Man of Steel." Bane laughs as he grabs Superman by the hair, lifting him up.

"Good luck with that." Superman say as he kicks Bane in the chest sending him flying back.

Bane is quick enough to keep on his feet. Bane runs toward Superman as he sees a red blur past by him. Bane punches Superman hard in the gut then brings his other hand up to punch Superman across the face. Superman ,having enough of Bane's attacks, brings his fist up hard into Bane's head. With the uppercut, Bane goes flying backwards and lands on his back. Bane tries to get up but doesn't have the strength and falls back to the ground, passing out.

Superman seeing this turns to look for The Flash, only to see a red blur fly by again. Superman then realizes that while he was fighting Bane, Flash had been building up speed. Superman realizing this turns to where the blur came from to see Flash running straight at him. Flash with all of his built up speed punching Superman as hard as he can. Flash hears his hand break as he hits The Man of Steel. Flash slows down and turns to see if Superman is still standing. Superman looks over at Flash and then falls down to the ground unconscious.

"And that's why you run from a fight." Flash smiles sitting down, happy with his victory.

ACT I

Being it's TDKR Bane, he found a way to summon everyone but is afar watching. (Say Flash and Superman are not friends for this fight) Flash arrives first, shortly Superman drops in. Being he's good, Superman does not want to fight but Flash thinks otherwise and goes first. Superman is defensive at first, but Barry's not holding back so why should he. At their weakest moment, Bane blows the scene up changing the came. He's ready to join in.

Act II

Bane is taking names. Barry does not stand for this and makes the first move (as Superman is down for the moment). He moves fast around giving random blows effortlessly. Bane watches best as he can studying every blow. Being tactical, he fires back hurting one of Barry's vital organs. Bane does not show mercy with every punch and finally K.O.s Flash. Superman is ready for his turn.

ACT III

Man to man, the punches roll out. Superman is obvious stronger as his hits count. Bane can shake the man of steel, but he knows he's over his head. It being the final ACT, Bane's followers come out and throw themselves in. It's far too many to count and it leaves Superman distracted. Bane's objective was to challenge everyone. They both stand, but Bane got what he was looking for.

BANE WINS

Superman flicks flash with his finger right into Bane taking them both out.

Superman in a single decisive move throws both Flash and Bane into the sun. The end.

I got to go with the Flash on this one. I think Bane and Superman would ignore the Flash (seeing that's he's the underdog) as they think he's a pushover and just go after each other instead. Their battle would be very similiar to Superman vs. Doomsday. Neither Bane, nor Superman would have the upper hand. But, as each one thought they were going to deliver the last crippling blow, the Flash comes out of nowhere and just lays haymakers to both of them and they never see it coming. Down and defeated are the two brutes, with the Flash standing victorious!!

Bane would of course have planned this out months ago. Bane would Kill Lois and blame it on Flash which sends superman into a rage to kill flash. when superman tries he fails and flash sends him into the speed zone being the forensic police scientist he is flash investigates Lois death but by the time he realizes what happened the trap bane set up earlier for him has gone of killing flash making bane victorious.

Bane,Superman,and The Flash are so caught up in the fight that Batman leaves his referee position and destroys them all. Batman always wins.

It is a new war to settle the score about just who is faster...Flash or Superman. The race begins all the way on the Eastern Seaboard and Batman is watching from the JL tower above the Earth as it gets underway. Superman gets a boost of confidence in Metropolis and speeds ahead and for a while it seems as if the Man of Steel has this race in the bag. Not so much luck when they start to come upon Central City on into Keystone City where the Fastest Man Alive starts to gain critical velocity. Its becoming quite a hateful war of words between the two Justice League members as Clark and Barry are spouting off things back and forth to each other. As they are coming out of the southwest on into Coast City for the last leg of their racing journey, Superman spots something ahead and says "Bane!" , to which Barry goes "What?" Superman repeats "Bane's up ahead!" And true to form, it is a fully Venom-pumped vascular muscled Bane who stands between two of them and the finishing line not several miles ahead. Barry's reflexes aren't quick enough to act though as the man from Pena Duro puts his arms out in clothesline like formation, and in a split second it gets really ugly. Bane's right arm is taken quick, clean and off by Superman, while Flash's head is decapitated by Bane's arm. She sheer shock of this high velocity wound knocks Bane the $#%^ out while Venom laced blood seeps out of his wound on his torso. And Superman turns around fast in shock to see what's happened. And he looks upon the head adn body of his former friend....and Clark screams out so loud that every window in Coast City shatters as he sobs "Whyyyyyyyyyy Barry?! Why?! I wanted to win, but not like this!" And in broken spirits, the crying Man of Steel picks up the head and body of Flash and walks the remaining distance to the finish line. And from his seat, the Dark Knight watches and shakes his head in utter humiliation at what he sees before turning behind him to break the fourth wall and says "Happy with yourself, Mr. MacFarlane? Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light?"

The moral of the story...nobody wins.

Well, let's see now...

Bane hatches an ingenious plan to hold the citizens of Metropolis and Central City hostage unless Superman and the Flash run a race around the world, with the city that's home to the hero who lets up first being destroyed in a bomb blast. Supes and the Flash manage to concoct a plan to stop Bane which ultimately just involves running by him at incredibly fast sub-light speeds, spinning him like a top and engorging him chest-deep into the ground. The day is saved, the Flash boasts that he would still win the race, while Superman just laughs knowingly and flies off.

Bane has been watching and planning for the perfect moment to take down the so called Superman and he finally seizes his chance. Bane leaping from a nearby building where he was watching Superman and the Flash converse, starts the venom process on his descent planning to land and incapacitate The Flash first. Superman sensing something was amiss pushes the flash out of the way, As Bane lands on the street seeing the Flash pushed out of the way at the last second smiles. "It matters not who goes first Superman I know both of your weaknesses.". Superman not one to mince words lands a punch directly on the hulked out Bane. As blood splatters from Banes mouth and lands on Superman's face he starts to feel odd. Knowing something was wrong Superman continues to try and land blows on Bane, while Bane stands there and takes each punch. Weaker and weaker Superman is brought to his knees exhausted, "Something wrong Superman, feeling weak? I stopped by your friend Luthor the other day, it seems that Kryptonite can easily be added to the venom serum with little problem." Bane slowly raises his boot and brings it down full force on top of Superman's back. "So now all that Kryptonite is coursing through my veins mixing with my blood!", Bane brings his boot down again on superman who has become too weak to move and is slowly being crushed into the pavement.

Satisfied that Superman won't be putting up a fight Bane turns to The Flash ontop of a damaged car incapacitated. "Poor Superman in your haste to protect your friend you've only hastened his death."

As the Flash slowly opens his eyes all he sees is Bane slowly lifting a car above his head, ready to crush him as Batman quickly moves to try to save his friends.

the flash unplugs bane venom wire before he can pump up with venom. then superman knocks bane out with his pinky!!. then flash punches superman. superman starts to chase the flash. they run for hours!!!. finaly superman blast's the flash with some heat vision. they start to throw punches at eachother. they block eachother's punches,fighting for days. the flash see's superman is geting tired. superman tries to use his super breath to freeze the flash. the flash vibrates thru it. to end this fight the flash touches superman,after all he is faster. stealing his speed,& knocking him out cold in a flash!!!. the flash is the winner!!!

I'm not quite sure how the fight would go exactly aside from The Flash telling Bane, "Hannibal Lecter wants his style back..."

Scenario 1 - Bane enlists the Rogues and to go up against the Flash. The Rogues keep Flash busy and lead him unsuspectingly toward a disguised as a Bane. Bane signals Captain Cold to create a cold field to slow down the Flash. Bane then grabs the Flash says "No More" and breaks the Flash's back. Flash uses his JLA signal to call Superman. Superman arrives and makes short work of the Rogues. Bane studies Superman. As Superman is securing the Rogues, Bane venoms up with a new mixture that has a liquid kryptonite additive in the venom. Bane now huge and with an eerily green complexion makes his prescence known with a kryptonite grenade procurred from Lex Luthor. Superman reacts but when he gets close the kryptonite in Banes venom and from the grenade slow Superman enough that Bane can grab him and start to beat him down. Superman ask Bane "Why?" as Bane is punching him. Bane quotes Nietzsche "I teach you the overman. Man is something that shall be overcome." and snaps his neck. Bane victorious makes plans for Central City and the Batman. Bane wins.

Scenario 2 - Bane uses the Secret Six as a diversion in Gotham City. Bane waits for Batman to leave the Batcave. Bane enters the Batcave and hacks Batman's computer. Bane steals Batman's new protocols on how to take out Superman and Flash (Using information and tactics Bane has gotten from Ra's al Ghul,like in the JLA Tower of Babel story). Bane uses them on Flash and Superman and beats them. Bane wins, everyone loses even Batman.

Batman becuase he a genius n he outsmart everybody he use his kryptonite ring to knock out superman, make a device to keep up with flash n slow him down, fist cuff wit bane

Bane uses all of his resources in a way to take the Flash's powers away and then starts to beat the crap out of him. Superman flies in and beats the crap out of Bane and then helps Flash to get his powers back. The end. lol

superman tells the flash i got this one!!. the flash tells sup,be back in a flash. he runs to china. he orders some chicken fried rice & egg rolls. bane pumps up with some venom. he runs at superman. he punches superman in the stomach with all his might!!. breaks his hand. superman knocks him out with one punch!!. superman says (man of steel) hello!!. the flash shows up. superman says,man that was fast. the flash says ,what can i say fastest man alive. superman says,will see about that!!. superman flies at the flash,trying to hit him. the flash lands some punches on superman,before he moves away. the flash says u gotta bee quicker than that!!. superman spins around at super speeed,& drills underground. he comes up from underneath,catching him off guard. he throw the flash. superman runs after him. they start running from eachother. superman tries to use his heat vision,but the flash is to fast. he use his freeze breath to freeze the flash. the flash vibrates thru the ice. they star fighting. superman says i gotta end this now!!. the flash touches superman to slow him down. as the flash is about to knock out superman. superman does a sonic thunder clap!!!. the flash's ears are in pain!. superman knock him out cold & says i'm no man,i'm a alien!!!.

superman & the flash don't see bane as a threat. the flash & superman go at it!!!!. while superman & the flash are fighting,bane takes off. he gets in to a space ship & flies to apokolips!!!. he uses new gods tec to collect all the banes from the 52 realities!!!. mean while the flash & superman have been fighting for days!!!. bane returns with all the banes frrom the 52 realities. superman & the flash have wasted a lot of time on eachother. all the banes start fighting the flash & superman. the real bane just sits back & watches!!. after a few minutes,bane walks up behind superman. he uses kryptonite on him,& knocks him out. then he sneaks up behind the flash. he use a vibrainum spring on the flash. he breaks the flashes legs. he laughs says i broke the bat. now i crushed the man of steel & stopped the fastest man alive!!! ha ha ha.

Well, if there is prep, then Bane is showing up with kryptonite and a series of bombs hidden throughout the city. Flash goes for bombs, and Superman and Bane duke it out. To throw off Flash, the bombs are actually set to go off at the start of the fight, so Flash has to save people as well as move and disarm bombs. Superman eventually rips Banes tubes off, but at that point he explodes because hes really a weakened recycled Amazo bot. Real Bane is on a roof scoping out a place where flash absolutely must slow down to save some people. He knee caps Flash. Superman has recovered from the Kryptonite/Explosion and shows up, and Flash heals relatively quickly. But Bane has another trick up his sleeve: artificially amplified black kryptonite (thanks Lex!). Superman turns on Flash. Bane trys to shoot Superman in the back with an artificial K bullet. Superman dodges it, but in the distraction Flash vibrates the hell out of Superman to disorient him. Superman chucks Flash far and tries to regain his composure, but Bane is on him with Krypton-studded brass knuckes. Final trick? Bane Blows up another couple buildings as Superman tries to compose himself and Flash is returning. Both are too weak to save the people and keep track of Bane, who has vanished. But Bane still wins, because it was all caught on tape and uploaded to the internet.

...if theres prep. If not? Superman ties up Bane and heat rays Flashes knees and punches him when he falls.

At the instant the fight begins Supe freezes Flash and Bane with his cold breath and then grabs both of them and smashes them together until they are both really dead.

Batman says, "Called it."

Superman. Since Batman is out... it would be Supes.

As The Flash and Superman have their yearly race to see whom really is the fastest alive, Bane awaits a mile in front of them. The two super-friends aren't paying much attention to what is ahead of them until a figure walks in front of them and clothesline them. Bane patiently grabs the flash and throws him as far as a man like Bane with venom can throw. As the Flash crashes, Superman says "Big mistake," He rushes towards Bane, but does not flinch but instead smiles and puts on kryptonite brass knuckles. Bane gives Superman a 1-2 combo, grabs him by the cape and starts to pound on the Man of Steel. Then out of nowhere Flash returns with a right punch but does nothing to the man who broke the bat. Flash runs around Bane while punching him, Bane gets irritated and just swings and catches Flash and as Bane goes for a second punch, the Flash manages to push him away with his arms moving like tornado's. Flash rushes Bane as fastest as he can but somehow tonight's venom is giving Bane extremely sharp vision, so he laughs and punches Flash so hard it knocks him to the ground. As the Flash lies in the ground, Bane grabs the Flash by the legs as he says "How can you be the fastest man alive without legs" and he breaks both legs as the Flash screams with extreme pain. Superman wakes from the beating he got from Bane and speeds up to his friends aid. But he can't do anything to help his friend but rush him to the hospital, but gets stopped by Bane. Superman filled with rage, uses his heat vision to destroy the cords connected to Banes Mask. While Bane tries to connect back his source of strength Superman tackles him and punches him into the ground. Bane angry that he was touched by the Kryptonian puts back on the brass knuckles made of kryptonite but Superman uses his full power towards the heat vision and manages to destroy the weapons. A now weak, weaponless frustrated Bane runs towards Superman ready to defeat him, but this time Superman is the one smiling and punches him left and right until finally Bane is unconscious. Superman runs back to the Flash, ask him if he was OK, flash just nods. Superman lifts him up and takes him to the hospital, he returns for Bane he takes him away. He takes Bane to the batcave and throws him in front of Batman who was watching the entire time through his satellites, Superman says "This belongs to you" with a straight face. Batman doesn't say a word just a smirk.

Flash starts running around and peppering bane with punches. Superman is flying overhead and sees this happening mistakes flash for a villain and grabs him. they fly off at super speed but the flash steals supes's speed causing them to drop into the ocean. superman swims away after dropping an unconscious flash off with some island police. When superman returns to the area where he met bane he sees bane holding a car and figures out that he made a mistake. he grabs bane and flys him up into the atmosphere until bane passes out

Let us be honest here, Bane was able to break Batman's back and since "Batman always wins" then logic states that Bane wins vs. Superman and Flash. Flash and Superman would have a pissing match over who is faster... The Flash... and then Bane would come up behind them with his Venom fully loaded and destroy them both. Game Over.

Bane would use venom infused with kryptonite to allow him a substantial edge on Superman. He'd make quick work of Bats and Supes, but be caught off guard by the Flash. Slowed down by his increased size, Banes hulking form is no match for the speed of the Flash, who disassembles Bane's venom dispencers. This allows Flash to finish the fight.

I'm going with Flash vs. Bane. Flash will win because he speeds up to go back in time and prevent Bane from being created.

Flash slams Bane into orbit after gathering speed on Superman's tricycle from childhood, thereby sending Superman into a Kryptonic rage the likes of which haven't been seen since someone stole Clark Kent's credit card and racked up fraudulent charges buying Beanie Babies on Ebay. After making a deal with Chiquita Bananas, Superman covers the earth with banana peels in hopes the Flash will "slip up." Unfortunately for him, the Flash is aware of the plot and thwarts the plan by causing a vortex that sucks the peels off into space, where Bane is stuck constantly slipping around the planet, unable to return. Meanwhile Superman, frustrated by his inability to catch Flash, resorts to taking bath salts in order to enhance his powers. The drugs interact with his superhuman blood, converting him to a zombie. He catches the Flash and eats his face off.

Bane lures Flash in too close and appears to be easily defeated, but it was all a ruse to inject the scarlet speedster full of a new, modified Venom formula, causing the Flash to 'hulk out' and go into a super-speed roid rage. Out to save his fellow superfriend, Superman realizes the only way to stop the Flash and cut down on danger/collateral damage is to bait Barry Allen into chasing him, so he can 'run off' all the Venom in his system (let's throw in a cameo assist by Kid Flash, why not?). This provides enough distraction for Bane to escape... except, who's that lurking in the shadows following Bane? Why, the g** damn Batman, of course.

On a charity race between Superman and Flash across America, Bane ambushes the duo in Gotham. Adding Kryptonite to his Venom-Formula makes Bane a match for Superman...until Flash vibrates his hands thru Bane's Venom pumps quickly followed by a series of lightspeed punches that keep Bane of his balance until Superman recovers and delivers the finishing blow. Batman arrives to collect Bane, tersely telling Flash and Superman that he didn't need their help, as the two heroes leave to finish their race..that the Flash wins.

Bane is super powered by venom, so he is the most obvious threat to Superman. Superman takes him down quickly. By the time he does, Batman has retrieved the kryptonite he keeps on him at all times and incapacitates Superman. But without time to formulate his next move, flash swoops in and knocks Batman out. Flash wins.

"We're late" Superman groaned as he and the Flash zipped to the Hall of Justice.

"And?" Barry retorted.

"And I'm never late. You'd think the fastest two men on Earth would be able to make it to a meeting on time," Superman said in his reporter voice.

"I'm sure Wally is already there, so that's one of the fastest two on time, so that just leaves me. And wherever you rank," The Flash said matter-of-factly, with a wry smile as he glanced toward Superman.

"You know, we need to have that race," Superman replied.

"Wally, Me, Bart, Jessie, Johnny..." Barry listed. "You'd probably finish sixth or seventh."

"SIXTH OR SEVENTH HUH?"

"Well it depends if Jay runs or not."

"I'm certainly faster than a senior citizen wearing a tin colander for a hat..."

At that moment, Bane stood on the steps of the Hall, bulked out from Venom and ready to strike the heroes on their way to the meeting.

"You locos going to die now," he shouted as he lunged toward the Man of Steel.

Within a thousandth of a second, Superman recoiled, but it was too late for him. The Flash had already pulled the Venom hose from Bane's armor and used the hose to detain the criminal.

Batman burst through the doors to the Hall ready for a fight, but realized he, too, wasn't needed to handle his longtime enemy.

"Batman, you might call your pal Gordon and send Loco here to Arkham," The Flash announced.

"And Superman, like I said, sixth or seventh," he said, still flashing that signature wry smile.

Superman beats Bane by grabbing his tubes that go into the back of banes head. Flash does the same Thats how Batman beats him...

The Flash and Superman have a heated argument on who is the fastest, then when they cant take just arguing any more, they both have a race to "finally" decide who is the fastest, making a deal that the race will go on no matter what. as they run the world a few times, passing by Gotham they run pass Bane terrorizing the city, with no Batman in site, Superman and Flash decide to stop Bane, as Superman flies up to the skies to scan the city for Batman, Flash runs up to Bane seeking to strike first, but instead gets knocked out when Bane smashes the ground, causing the street to be uneven, him tripping and flying towards Bane and Bane smashing him to the ground. then Superman, now knowing Batman isnt there, sees Flash unconscious and uses his heat vision as a first attack, then as swooping down punches Bane to the floor waking Flash. Flash gets up and tries running towards Bane and Superman who punch it out, the only option to stop the fight from escalating is to steal not only Bane's, but also Superman's speed because of blind fury for he saw Flash hurt. As soon as they are immobilized and Superman has calmed down, Flash restores his speed and they both turn in Bane to the GCPD, after they catch a breath, they both continue the race, as they head toward the finish line, Flash is lagging a bit because of the punch he took from Bane,giving Superman the lead, but Flash exerts himself to move faster and run a few seconds in the future and gains the lead of the race and wins against by a few nanoseconds!

Bane is walking home from a long day of crime. The flash is running by and notices a really hot chick, but runs into banes massive chest, breaking his own neck in the process. Superman hears flashes death while hanging out in space doing nothing. He flies down so fast, he rips buildings apart. He says to bane "wtf man" Then Bane just eats him. The End.

the Flash would run circles around Bane and superman while they duke it out blow by blow. once superman knocks bane out, he sticks out his arm and clotheslines the flash, rendering him unconscious. superman wins!

pls tell me I am not the only one to recognize that the flash flash drive one is the coolest flash drive...

batman's is cool but has too much security and encryption to be of any use

Bane versus Flash versus Superman for the governorship of New York

Bruce Wayne wanted to ask Superman a different question, but he stayed with the pre-arranged cards he had been given. As the world’s greatest detective, it was hard for him to stick with such mundane inquiries, but he had a job to do and he was without his cape and cowl. As Bruce Wayne, he needed to play the part, and he did.

“Superman, if elected as governor, what will you do to keep good paying jobs from going not only out of state, but overseas to countries such as China and India . Thirty seconds for your answer, then Flash and Bane get twenty seconds response in that order.”

“Well I’ve always had faith in the American worker,” Superman said as he stood behind the podium as not only Bane and Flash watched him, but millions of citizens of New York State . All three candidates were behind their preordered stands, each one custom ordered to attempt to make the contestant for office look the most attractive, confident, humble, and intelligent as possible. “But unfortunately, a great deal of our fortune 500 companies see only the bottom line and the color green. If elected governor, I will give out tax incentives and job growth programs that will inspire companies to keep workers here in the Empire State . We cannot afford to lose anymore jobs to foreign, and even out of state, competition.”

When Superman was done, Bruce Wayne told Flash to respond, but as usual, Flash was already talking. Bruce wondered if Flash was hot under the lights in his steel cap; he had added the Golden Aged relic when polls had showed senior citizens could not identify with him because he was too youthful. It was his high metabolism that made him appear so young, but medical excuses did not win elections.

“Of course I agree with Superman on the not only the quality of the American worker,” Flash began. Bruce was amazed by how Flash’s voice flowed like every word had been thought out and practice for weeks. “But I must also add that I embrace the ingenuity and perseverance of the New York citizen as a whole. As politicians, our jobs are to cherish our citizens and keep them gainfully employed and progressing towards their dreams. Superman has been a key member of this community for years, and he has done many great deeds, but if he had been doing his job as lieutenant governor under our current administration, we would not be in the shape we are in. Let me tell you about little Suzy Sheena who posted a video on Youtube asking me to help her father find a job. Now Suzy’s father…”

Bruce checked the Bat-communicator on his wrist for any messages from Robin. Nothing. He was bored beyond tears. He wanted to do one of two things: ask the two ladies in the front row if they were twins or kick the Riddler in the face. Apparently he was stirring up some trouble in Gotham and Robin was investigating. Flash went on about a poor girl on the internet who posted a video begging for her father to have a job. Bruce felt no guilt; Wayne Enterprises donated to various food banks and had the massive Jason Todd Scholarship Fund for adult back-to-school training.

There must be some crime happening, he thought. It’s Gotham for goodness sake. I don’t want to leave because Clark would give me a guilt trip to end all guilt trips; he’d have Lois cuss me out on Facebook and call me a pig. But if there was a good reason...come on Bookworm rob a damn library and get me out of this boring crap. He asked to have the debate not in New York State hoping to get out of it, but it had back fired. Flash and Superman could be anywhere in a matter of seconds, and Bane lived in Gotham . Bruce came to the conclusion there was not easy way out of this but to finish it, not unlike a lecture from Alfred.

“Flash you are over time,” Bruce said into the microphone. The technicians would cut Flash off if he didn’t stop talking, but Bruce wanted to save him the embarrassment. As Batman, he had to stay cold. But as Bruce Wayne, human being, he could never forget when Flash had saved him from the brainwashed Captain Marvel. One more lightning bolt would have eaten through his protective cape, and Robin was not ready to take over the mantel.

“And that’s why my skills and super speed will keep the state of New York safe.” Flash finished. A few claps escaped from the audience, and Bruce hoped an uproar of cheering did not occur. The voters seem to want anyone but Superman, who was trailing bad in the polls. As much as he hated to admit it, the Boy Scout was the safe vote, but, as Flash liked to point out, change was needed. Bruce wondered if Flash would change too many things too fast, and make things worse. He didn’t need to worry about Bane, because nobody in their right mind would vote for him.

“Let me hear the citizens of New York shout for change!” Bane yelled from behind his podium. Bruce cringed for silence and Bane’s embarrassment, but to his surprise a hoard of Bane enthusiasts cheered for their muscular role model. Bane showed his muscles and flexed, appearing stronger than Superman. His arms were bigger, and since Superman wouldn’t raise a finger against someone unless they deserved it, Bane in a way was the victor.

“Look at these two spandex wearing good for nothings!” Bane said. His big arms extended until the pointing fingers aimed their guilty crosshairs at Flash and Superman. “Yes they have superpowers.” Bane’s words echoed around the hall. Bruce looked at the tech in charge of sound. He had not heard any echo until now, and he wondered if the man had been paid off by Bane to bring power to his speech. Bane continued on in a speech that Castro would have envied.

“Yes they are strong. Yes they can keep us safe from green aliens, killer robots, and other villains that only attack because they are here in the first place. But can they put food on the table? Can they save your house from something more terrifying than a soul eating demon…and I mean your mortgage company?”

A few of the audience members snickered, and Bane looked in their direction. Even behind the mask, Bruce could see Bane was annoyed. He was trying hard.

“Jobs are lost in New York State and people get desperate. They turn to crime. They steal, rob, and fraud their fellow man to feed their families and it does something to the honest working man. He feels bad, and goes deep down inside himself. He drinks, he drives, and commits more crimes.

“And what do these two clean shaven pretty boys do? They beat the man, who I might add is defenseless against them, to near death and then have him arrested and leave his family without a provider. Before we can fix our economy, we must fix our community, and to fix our community, we must fix our family, and before that, and most importantly, we must fix ourselves.”

A cheer went up Bruce had not heard since Wonderwoman had lost her top defending the prison during Invasion! years ago. Some inmates had lost teeth after the aliens had been set packing.

This is ludicrous, he thought. Bane came from behind the podium and began flexing. Flash hurried out and stood beside Bane, but Bane had a hundred pounds on him and Flash looked like a kid just playing superhero. Superman kept smiling, but it was obviously fake to Bruce.

His Bat-communicator buzzed and there was a text from Robin: ‘Madhatter robbed African American church. Took three dozen women’s hats.’ Thank goodness, Bruce thought. He tore out of the community center as the voters went crazy.

It was a close race. The Wednesday after election had record number of people at city hall in Albany , some holding Superman signs, and many more chanting “Bane! Bane!” into megaphones. Only two Flash supporters were there, handing out week old flyers that were irrelevant because voting was over. Every news network was there, and Fox had even forgiven Arnold Schwarzenegger and was using him as a commentator on controversial elections. Anyone one who was anyone was on TV, talking, discussing, and philosophizing about the events.

Everyone except Bruce Wayne.

Batman was paying attention however and the quality of the streaming newsfeed in the Batmobile was excellent. At the moment, nothing was happening in the political circus that was New York . The sound was muted.

He had received a fax, via the police station, from the Riddler. Batman had two ideas where he might be after tracing the fax to a Kinkos; it looked like the fax had come from the west side Kinkos, but Batman had found a small smudge on the address at the bottom of the page. Batman let the Batmobile do the majority of the driving on the freeway and he checked on Robin’s progress on the GPS. Robin was almost to the west side Kinkos, and Batman was three miles away from the east side one. He would convince the store manager (Batman was good at persuasion) to allow him to see the security footage.

Batman saw the State of New York Election Commissioner on his dashboard screen and punched the sound back on. Batman was tense and either outcome would be bad. Bane was an obvious criminal and would turn Times Square back into the peep-show prostitution den it had been in the 1970’s. Superman would begin imposing so many new rules the mafia would begin hiring super villains by the truck load to take him out. Everyone knew Flash didn’t have a chance.

“The Election Board of the State of New York has made its final and irrevocable decision. This decision has been made on the facts, on the rules and regulations that have made New York such an empire state.” Batman did not like the expression on the man’s face, and he seemed like he wanted to be anywhere than were he was. “In the final count, Bane has won the popular vote.”

Cheers that sounded like they were in a bar went up. Before the news cameras could turn to the more exciting parts of the story, the commissioner went on. “But, to become governor of New York , you must be a citizen of not only New York , but the United States too. Bane was born in Santa Prisca in the Caribbean , and it therefore disqualified. My apologies to Bane…this should have been cleared up before he even began his campaign.”

As the boos and catcalls came from somewhere off camera, more shouts for Superman began. But the commissioner’s expression did not change, and Batman knew what was coming next.

“Unfortunately, the same basic rule has defaulted Superman. He came in second place behind Bane, losing by only three percent. Superman did try a number of years ago to become a citizen of Earth, but with no home world to do a background check with, it was never fully processed. I know it seems absurd to do a background check on someone as noble and caring as Superman, but state rules are state rules. So, without further ado-.”

A streak of red whooshed over the stage and the commissioner was moved, gently, two feet to the left. Where he had been stood Flash, sands silver helmet, in full red outfit and a smile that shot his shiny white teeth across the world. Boos came immediately, but Flash was not dishearten. He tore into a speech instantly about new running paths in Central Park , fitness tests for all state employees, and more exercise and nutritional programs for students.

“You have missed your exit,” the Batmobile told Batman. Batman looked from the screen and saw he passed his turn off at over 100 miles an hour. But from the freeway he could make out the Kinkos sign, and for a moment he thought it was falling. Then he realized it was bent in the shape of a giant question mark. He could not help but smile and he switched the streaming video off.

“Now this is helping the community,” he said. He fired the Batmobile’s rockets and jumped off the freeway, headed for the Riddler.

This contest is officially over. As some of you may know, I am actually on vacation this week in Hawaii. I will pick the winners and make sure to throw in some comics as well for your patience. Thanks. Sorry for the suspense.

Flash uses the speedsteal on Superman. Superman is fast, but he's not on Flash's level. I don't think Bane is a factor in this fight.

Bane comes at the two first. if he got caught off guard by supes and Flash he'd get owned.  Bane mixes his venom wit kryptonite, giving him abilities that increase his metabolism and push him upto flash speed reaction wise. Obviously the K-rock will take supes out of the game. Flash goes in with a bob and weave style, landing punches then going back, until bane swatts him and knocks him out.

Since this was all random, I'm going to make the distribution of each flash drive random as well. As soon as the prizes arrive in the office, I will randomly drop one into each envelope (along with some comics, as promised). Yes, I'm being a stinker and will keep the winners in suspense until the package arrives on their doorstep.
