Comic Book Question of the Week: Thoughts on The Walking Dead Season 4 So Far?

AMC's zombie show recently hit us with its mid-season finale and we want to know what you think about the latest season. Come vote!

The Walking Dead won't be back until February. Waiting over two months for new episodes is no fun, but on the plus side, the show left us with one heck of a mid-season finale. Besides, this gives you plenty of time to catch up on Robert Kirkman's comic, right? Based on comments in the mid-season finale review, it's clear many people really loved the episode. However, opinions were definitely mixed on the seven which came before it.

This week, we want to see how the Comic Vine community truly feels about the the first half of season four. Do you think it's totally engrossing and could be your favorite one yet? Are you left down the middle? Did it make you stop watching the show on AMC? After you vote, we encourage you to speak mind in the comments. That said, it's safe to say the conversation will be filled with spoilers from the season. So if you're not current and don't want any surprises ruined, you may want to fix that before reading the discussion.

The poll will remain open until Thursday morning (ET). Once it's locked, a new article will go live with the results and more. If you want to go the extra mile, go ahead and get your elaboration on. If awesome enough and about the poll's winning option, we just may highlight it in the updated feature. Check the homepage Thursday to see the results and more!

actually the show is at its peak IMO, last episode was my favorite.

I thought the season started weak. But each episode kept building on the next. The last three or four episodes were crazy good.

I've only watched the mid-season finale of this season. About the third episode of the whole series i've seen actually.

Like every season: boring, boring, boring boring, HOLY CRAP INSANE MID SEASON FINALE.

I predict the second half to be amazing and then have an incredibly disappointing finale.

I'm actually enjoying things this time. Second season I almost dropped the series, and season three was a bit hit and miss. This season has been good overall and I actually look forward to the next episode instead of falling behind and forgetting it was on like I did at times last season and the season before.

Daryl > Tank

Really enjoyed every episode except for the first Governor-centric one. That one was the low point of the series for me.

So far, so good. But I wish the seasons were 22 episodes long. I wanted the Governor to have as many episodes as Rick, make us REALLY start to like him, then his fall back into madness and evil would be more impactful.

I just can't wait to see where they go from here. I was getting bored of the Prison, like many others were too. I love this show, so I don't ever really find the episodes that boring anyway. But I just hope they start getting a little more intense. Like the mid-season finale was :)

Last season, I was disappointed that the Governor's final assault didn't include the tank.

As you can probably guess, I was over the moon when I saw the mid-season finale. The standoff was just so unbelievably tense. I want to just keep writing, "do you remember that thing that happened? That was cool..." four eight paragraphs, but I feel like that might get a little repetitive, so I'll just say this... your move, second half of the season. Your move.

I loved it. It, in my opinion, the best episode of the show. And I'm so excited for the Rick and Carl surviving together.

This season has been great. For me personally as a fan of horror, seeing the governor drag that guy into a zombie pit was perhaps the greatest scene thus far.

Really have not cared for it except for the fourth to last episode and the mid season finale. It's a huge improvement over the second half of season 3 though, which I thought was downright awful.

Needs better actors.

Just watched mid season finale. I'm now emotionally drained. But I'm also concerned with so many people being separated in the battle that there might be too many plot threads to successfully juggle. I'm worried about another Andrea catastrophe where they focus on characters I could care less about instead of the far more interesting dynamics of the core group as they deal with this world they live in.

the mid season finale was one of the best so far almost made up for the season 3 finale which sucked
